Go Team USA! I am very excited that the Olympics are here.  I am enjoying watching the Americans compete for medals.  Good luck to all American athletes!  I have two great vivid memories from the 2000 Sydney, Australia Games.  First, when Team USA was introduced at the Opening Ceremonies and we started walking onto the track with 110,000 people cheering and welcoming us to the games. Second, when Dain and I standing on the podium after capturing the Gold.  We were taller than everyone else and our flag kept on going higher than the rest while our National Anthem played.
 
  Dig 4 Kids had a great time at our " A Day At the Beach" event.  The USA National team and AVP players were great with the kids.  We also want to thank our sponsors ( Baycap, South Bay Ford, Dr. Joel Gould, O'Neill, Wilson Sporting Goods,  California Highway Patrol, Mar Ventures, Inc., Upper Manhattan Lounge, Biotene Oral Balance, The Tappan Foundation, Smith Barney, Icelandic Glacial, Ginther, Platinum Timing, Olaya Ink, Kerri Walsh-Chase the Stars,Esplanade Builders, Inc, Chevron, City of Manhattan Beach, and Bo Bridges) for there support.  We were able to raise over $22,000.
 
  We did it. Dig 4 kids has surpassed our goal of $100,00 by October 1. I want to thank our Board of Directors for working so hard.  We are also expanding our program to Hawthorne High School in CA in early October.
