Ruth Weil: A Passion to Eradicate Cancer
Ruth Weil has been engaged in the battle against cancer for as long as she can remember. Thus, she has a passion to eradicate this terrible disease. It started when her parents and many close relatives fell to cancer. Ruth recalls the first time she took her husband Marty home to introduce him to her family. "Unfortunately," she said, "it was a visit to the cemetery and I said, 'Marty, meet my family'."

JudeCat Productions is having a screening of the film "Judy Toll, The Funniest Woman You've Never Heard Of" May 2, 2008, 8PM at the Los Angeles Film School Theater. The John Wayne Cancer Institute is the beneficiary of donations and proceeds.
In 1996 Judy Toll discovered a mole on her back. It turned out to be melanoma. She was fine for a few years until she discovered a lump under her arm. After a prolonged struggle, she succumbed to cancer in 2002. To show the family's appreciation for the wonderful care and treatment Judy received at the John Wayne Cancer Institute, they set up the Judy Toll Memorial Fund to raise funds for melanoma treatment, care, and awareness.
More information can be found at www.JudyToll.com and tickets are FREE if you RSVP to Gary Toll at Tollstory@aol.com. |
