Greetings!

Cooking for the Hounds at The Mercury is just 3 days away! For the fifth year, Chef Chris Ward opens up The Mercury kitchen for a fun, afternoon cooking class Sept 29th from 2-5pm. Author of Restaurant Life: The Culinary Chronicles of Chef Chris Ward, Ward will share/demo (and you will taste!) some favorite recipes and kitchen secrets. Come hungry!

The VIP tickets are sold out, but regular guest tickets are still available - online tickets can be purchased until tomorrow, and there will be a few tickets available at the door! Your $60 entry fee includes the following:

  • Chef Ward will demonstrate some favorite recipes, and you'll taste them!
  • One Drink Ticket (additional beverages at cash bar)
  • A silent auction will take place during the event. Items include Spa and Restaurant certificates, decorative items, jewelry, items for your pooch, and much more...
Get your tickets now and we'll see you there!

The fabulous silent auction items are online for absentee bidding until Friday - check them out and bid here

GALT can only continue its mission to help greyhounds in need by your continued generous support!  Over $7000 has been spent in the last 3 months in broken legs alone.  Please come to this event! We will send out the menu Friday morning in another eNews.

Sincerely,

The Officers, Directors, and Committee Members of Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, Inc.

Strut Your Mutt Strutt Your Mutt logo

It's that time of year again - when we strut our stuff for the GALT greyhounds. The best part is that you can strut anywhere - in your neighborhood, at the gym or even by just kicking back on your couch if that is your preferred style. You don't need a greyhound to strut; you don't even need a dog!

The Central Texas GALT representatives will be stepping out this year in Austin on September 29th in the Best Friends Strut Your Mutt Walk and need our support. If you're interested in participating in the acutal walk in Austin, please contact Sadie Pack at Spack5@austin.rr.com for more details. We can, of course, be with them in spirit, but we can also show our support no matter where we are as they put their best feet forward for the GALT greys! All proceeds will benefit the GALT greyhounds.
