THE GREYT NON-EVENT
Join GALT in this first annual celebration of roaching on the couch! There are no volunteer shifts to fill, no having to wish you were here, and no driving in the end-of-summer heat! This event is all about what greyhounds do best - be couch potatoes extraordinaire! Your $25 ticket gets you the following:
- A meal that we won't provide - there are three greyt options for you to dream about
- A raffle ticket for the raffle items we didn't collect
- An event shirt - the shirt is for real! But it will arrive 2-3 weeks after the event since we have no volunteers working.
- A warm, fuzzy feeling for helping the hounds!
Join us in this unique event of R&R - Relaxing and Roaching!!!
We want to know your level of participation in the Greyt Non-Event!

Send a photo for posting on GALT's website, Facebook and eNews to Rita Wulke for all to enjoy!
Keep the photos of reasonable size and of course, focused on your participation with your Greyhound. Make sure to name the participants in the photo so that we can give proper credit.
Photos maybe used in future advertising, promotions and media by GALT and approved affiliates.

RESCUED PET ADOPTION LEAGUE
RPAL - Rescued Pet Adoption League - manages a food bank for dogs, cats, ferrets, and other pets awaiting adoption. R-PAL has over 100 member groups across north Texas that collectively feed almost 6500 companion animals each day. The R-PAL food bank is centrally located in Terrell, TX.
Muenster Milling (Muenster, TX) and RPAL Pet Rescue Food Bank have joined forces to help feed these almost 6,500 companion animals that are in the care of over 100 area Animal Welfare Professionals in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond. Now you can "Help Us Help Them!"

 FEATURED GREYHOUND
Katrina, aka Kiowa Happy Tina, is a 3½-year-old black female born December 6, 2008. Her sire is Kay V Tatoo Tony and her dam is Kiowa Hail Happy. Katrina has 29 races to her credit on Trackinfo.com. She started at Orange Park, FL on May 24, 2010 and finished at Daytona Beach, FL on October 8, 2010. She was found as a stray in Fort Worth and arrived very thin, covered in scabs and with multiple open wounds.She has healed, filled out, and is a beautiful, shiny girl now!
Katrina is a love-bug of a girl. She just wants to be near people - even on walks, she'll stick right by your side. She would love to snuggle with you if allowed on the furniture. Her house manners are good - I can't vouch for her self-control if you were to leave a steak on the counter, but she's good about keeping her paws off the counter. She bounces around when she gets excited for walks or when her people come home, but she waits patiently for her bowl at mealtimes and is a calm girl in general. She crates well and is living with other greyhounds and a 30 lb dog. She often tries to share dog beds with others, even with our grumpy old girls. She looks miles better than the thin, wounded dog who arrived at our house, but her demeanor has always been happy, happy, happy!

INCOMING GREYHOUNDS
Felicia, aka Craigie Felicia, is a 6½-year-old fawn female born October 22, 2005. Her sire is Kiowa Sweet Trey and her dam is Craigie Roan. This cutie-pie is a champion "roacher" - she loves to roll over on her back. Felicia was in a home for several months, but has returned to GALT. She would do better in a home with a canine companion. Felicia is cat tolerant.
Boss, aka Bad Boss, is a handsome, 6-year-old red male born June 5, 2006. His sire is Stan's Boy Flyer, making his grand-sire the late famous Gable Dodge, and his dam is I'm On Tonight, GALT's own Ima. Boss's racing career consists of just five races. He is one handsome boy with that dark red coloring! Boss was in a home for 2½ years, but it was not to be his forever home and he's back on the hunt for a family of his own.
