RAFA Members' Recital
(Just off Route 70 near Umstead Park entrance) No admission charge; all are welcome.
Enjoy the variety of 40 flutists performing solo, small ensemble, and flute choir works. Amy Zhang, who was awarded a solid silver flute in the Lois Allen Flute Award competition sponsored by RAFA earlier this spring, will open the concert with a performance on her "new" flute. Audience members will be invited to join along in playing a closing mass flute choir piece for a rousing conclusion to the afternoon, so remember to bring your flute (alto and bass flutes are welcome, too)! The afternoon's event will also feature the election of officers for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. Refreshments will be served following the recital. |
