It's Time to Renew Your Membership in Your Favorite Flute Association!!!

LOGOAll RAFA memberships expire June 30 so renew your membership now to stay connected and informed by sending in the membership application and membership dues ($15 students, $25 adults). Since 1985, RAFA has established itself as one of the most successful and active flute associations across the country, and it is all because of your participation and involvement. We are excited about the upcoming season and look forward to several fabulous opportunities to learn and share the great art of flute playing! As you fill out the membership application to renew your membership, we encourage you to especially consider:
1)  A tax-deductible donation. Your financial support of RAFA allows us to continue to plan high-quality events featuring world class artists.
2)  A commitment to volunteer in at least one category. RAFA relies solely on volunteer efforts. Since RAFA has no paid staff, we need everyone to make our events run smoothly! Please consider how you might be able to help. Perhaps you could staff the registration table at an event, offer to be a room monitor at the Flute Fair or Solo Fest, provide refreshments, take photos, or write an article for the newsletter. Thanks for being involved!

Communication Opportunities

For fve years RAFA member Twila Kelly has worked closely with Rosene Rohrer while meeting our association's many communication needs--everything from the Flute Fair booklet and concert programs to designing the newsletter, Tune In. During most of that time Twila also maintained the combined RAFA/RFC website. It's been exciting years because we have watched Tune In go from traditional print to electronic media, a huge cost savings to our organization. Even though we undertook a redesign of both the RAFA and RFC sites, we're ready to move into even more cutting-edge technology on both sites. However, increased responsibilities on other fronts necessitates that Twila find someone to help share some of the workload.
Therefore we seek someone interested in assuming responsibility for designing Tune In using the tools found in Constant Contact, an online email service. While knowledge of html code is helpful, it's not imperative. You will need a graphics program that gives you the ability to manipulate images. We typically publish ten issues a year and you receive text about seven to ten days before it needs to be published. It's imperative that this volunteer work closely with the individual maintaining the website because we routinely link items from Tune In to the site. If this sounds like your cuppa tea, contact either Rosene or Twila.
