Lea Pearson Workshop Huge Success (and Tons of Fun)!

On April 19, body-mapping specialist Lea Pearson presented insightful sessions to help us understand how our bodies work, especially when we play flute. Her concert with pianist Barbara Lister-Sink, also a specialist in the field, featured a delightful collection of music by African-American women composers. Additional work with the members of Silver Winds and Silver Pipes choirs on Sunday afternoon was also greatly appreciated. Check out these photos!

It's Time to Renew

Your Membership

All RAFA memberships expire June 30. Renew your membership to stay connected and informed by sending in the membership application and membership dues ($15 students, $25 adults).  Since 1985, RAFA has established itself as one of the most successful and active flute associations across the country, and it is all because of your participation and involvement. We are excited about the upcoming season and look forward to several fabulous opportunities to learn and share the great art of flute playing! As you fill out the membership application to renew your membership, we encourage you to especially consider:

1)      A tax-deductible donation. Your financial support of RAFA allows us to continue to plan high-quality events featuring world class artists.

2)      A commitment to volunteer in at least one category. RAFA relies solely on volunteer efforts. Since RAFA has no paid staff, we need everyone to make our events run smoothly! Please consider how you might be able to help. Perhaps you could staff the registration table at an event, offer to be a room monitor at the Flute Fair or Solo Fest, provide refreshments, take photos, or write an article for the newsletter. Thanks for being involved!
