Irwin Schulhoff, Concertino for flute, viola and doublebass
Schulhoff was a concentration camp composer and one of the earliest jazz aficionados in Europe.

Robert Ward, Serenade for Mallarme
for flute, viola, cello and piano
This award-winning NC composer, who is celebrating his 90th birthday, will be in attendance at the concert.

 

           The concert will also feature jazz vocalist Nnenna Frelon and pianist Brandon McCune with works that the two of them set to poetry by the renowned African American Mari Evans, who will also be attend the concert.

Raleigh Flute Choir Returns to Piccolo Spoleto Arts Festival

The Raleigh Flute Choir has been invited to appear at the Piccolo Spoleto Arts Festival in Charleston (SC) on May 25! They will present the same concert in Raleigh on Friday, May 16, 7:30 p.m. at St. Michael's Episcopal Church. See the RFC website for more details.
