This "Musical Travels" concert is a multi-media project featuring music and slides from choir members' summer treks to China, England, European Alps, and Southwest USA.  The concert will include a joint performance with members of the Meredith College Flute Ensemble and the Silver Fantasy Flute Choir.

The Raleigh Flute Choir is a nine-member chamber ensemble, which masterfully presents the uniquely blended sounds of the entire flute family - piccolos, C-flutes, alto, bass and contrabass flutes.

Review & Contest: November 4

An all-time record 155 flutists have registered for the Review & Contest to be held Sunday, November 4 at Highland United Methodist Church. Participating flutists come from 28 teaching studios throughout North Carolina and parts of Virginia! Coordinator Lauren Robbins-Pollack is currently working her magic to schedule specific performance times for everyone. Once the schedule is finalized, Lauren will contact adult participants and flute teachers, who are then responsible for sharing this information with their students. Please remember that only original music is acceptable (no copies are permitted).

Also make note of the Contest Winners' Recital on Friday, November 9, 7:30 p.m. (also at Highland United Methodist Church). This recital is open to the public at no admission cost. Refreshments will be served after the recital.

Review and Contest questions can be directed to Lauren Robbins-Pollack at (919) 557-2272 or density21.5@earthlink.net.
