What is Awakeness? What is Freedom? What is it to be awake and free in our daily lives?

How do we be present, in the 'now' in the midst of our conditioned human lives? How do we experience true freedom in the midst of our human experiences, no matter what they are?

What is the impact of awakening on us and our lives?

How do we directly experience that which wants nothing, needs nothing,

is attached to nothing, rejects nothing, embraces everything,

and is the essence of us and of everything in form?

Happy Spring!
The sap is rising, little shoots of precious new life arising in our lives and in consciousness these days, calling us to be present, mindful, wait for their full development and blossoming, and tend these tiny, tender glimmers of new life, (within and without in appearance only), with tenderness.  We can tend ourselves with tenderness as old life, ancient skins crack and peel away, old forms drop and disappear.
We can bring compassionate awareness to the part of our mind that fears and  clings to old identities, tries to hold on to the old forms even when we realllly want the new, emergent LIFE.  THIS is how it is, how WE are, and sometimes we leave claw marks in that which is changing, leaving, morphing, and dissolving even while we are blessing its passing away.  We are such amazing paradoxes!!
Life - we - IT - is never either/or, this or that...we are living the life of 'both/and'...both are true, both co-exist within the same moment, as opposite as they may appear, all is here in the same human being or situation or moment.  We don't have to see-saw or choose or judge this over that.
We can have it all in the same moment, hold both this and that in the same heart, the same moment of awareness, as opposite as things may appear, and MAGIC happens!  Each of us is spring incarnate!

Enjoy the paradoxes of awakening!!
Much love,
Sheila

There is a deep, undeniable, archetypal 'Call' to healer-ship, to serve others and/or community in some way we may or may not already know.

Stepping on this path is stepping into deep initiation on a very intimate, personal, embodied level.  Being of service, serving as a 'healer', regardless of how that actually shows up in the world, is much more than getting the right education, certificates and degrees.

Becoming a true healer, regardless of profession, education, or lack of it, credentials, and the presence or lack of formality in serving others, calls us to a deep psycho-spiritual initiation that is ancient, has a recognizable structure, and can be supported by conscious community. In indigenous cultures where shamanism is part of the culture, this initiatory process is not only recognized for what it is and accepted, mentors & elders are available, and it is held as a sacred unfolding by the community.

Initiation into our own path of healership often involves what can be recognized as a shamanic initiation, a deep and intense process of Life that can appear as an illness, accident, unexpected trauma or tragedy, and be felt as a sense of self and/or one's life being dismembered. If not aborted, this can ultimately birth a spiritual emergence and the awakening of healing gifts, instruction, and directions in the use of these gifts.

This short event will offer direct experience, information, as well as community for those walking this path and/or serving others who are also walking this path.

How do you nourish yourself?
Whom or what nourishes your body, your soul,
