You're Invited to the Grand Opening of the Center's Gift Shop Tuesday, October 26 from noon-2:00p.m.
Join us to celebrate the grand opening of the Center's gift shop with a ribbon cutting ceremony sponsored by the Ludington and Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce.
You can enjoy light refreshments and browse the shop's original paintings, photographs, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, cards and more by area and regional artists.
The gift shop is open Tuesday-Saturday from noon to 5:30 p.m. as well as during major events at the Center.

Family Talent Wanted!
Family duos or groups are invited to perform at the Center's Family Talent Night Showcase on Saturday, November 27 from 6-8 p.m.
Those interested are asked to perform two or three selections (8 to 10 minutes).
The Family Talent Night Showcase is part of the second annual Center for the Arts Christmas Extravaganza being held Thanksgiving weekend at the Center.

Coming in November
Saturday, November 6 Byline: Ernie Pyle and the Boogie Woogie Babies. A nostalgic WWII-era evening kicks off with the opening reception for the Norman Rockwell exhibit. 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and benefit the Center for the Arts.
November 6-21 An Exhibition of Norman Rockwell Prints. Suggested donation $5.
Beginning November 10 Four-Week Creative Writing Workshop with George Dila Focusing on short fiction and personal essay. For more details, click here. November 26-27 Christmas Extravaganza featuring a fabulous arts and crafts bazaar, baked goods, a family talent show, and a concert by the Shoreliners Gospel Quartet.

Foreign Film Series Continues with Norwegian Drama, Reprise, on Friday, October 29. 
The film series at the
Ludington Area Center for the Arts continues on Friday, October 29 with the
Norwegian drama, Reprise.
Reprise tells the story of two lifelong
friends and aspiring novelists who find their lives head in opposite directions when one friend has a novel published
and the other's is rejected.
Winner of the multiple awards at various
international film festivals, Reprise is described by The New York Times as an "... exuberant,
exhilaratingly playful testament to being young and hungry - for life and
meaning and immortality.
The
Chicago Tribune calls it "...funny, moving, wide-eyed and wise, the movie strikes
universal chords strong enough to break down cinematic language barriers." The film, which is rated R, is in
Norwegian with English subtitles. The running time is 105 minutes.
On November 19, the Center's film
series continues its foreign selections The Owl and the Sparrow, a tale of three strangers whose
fates collide on a Saigon street.
The foreign film series concludes on New Year's Eve with an endearing
and romantic film from Denmark, Italian for Beginners.
All films in the series screen at 7
p.m. Tickets for each film
screening are $7 per person at the door. Popcorn and beverages will be available for purchase.
