Be a Star! Subscribe Now to Support the Center's New Film Series.
You've found a home in West Michigan. The Third Coast Film Society at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts proudly offers a range of American and International films including edgy documentaries, independent film sleepers, and provocative classics.
These are films often only seen at film festivals, on big city screens, or in university environments. Join the area's other film buffs for cinematic drama, discussion, and a bag of popcorn.
The film series starts on Friday, January 29, 2010 with "American Teen," winner of the 2008 documentary directing award at the Sundance Film Festival. The film follows four high school students in Warsaw, Indiana from September of their Senior year right up until graduation. The film is a fascinating snapshot of the frustrations of small town kids on the cusp of adulthood dealing with heartache, social hierarchy, the anxiety of scholarships and other pressures on the American teen.
