"Mike's Kitchen" at This Thursday's Night Gallery

Mike Lenich and a couple of good friends will conclude the nine-week Night Gallery music series in the gallery this Thursday, from 8 to10 pm.

Lenich, who studied at Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music, plays folk, Americana, 60's/70's rock, sing-alongs, mountain gospel, and fun and original instrumentals.

He will be joined by Indiana musicians Becky Sprinkle and Joe Gibson, in a "sitting at the kitchen table" song circle style of show.

Cover charge is $5.  And, the Decadent Dessert Bar, brought to you by volunteer chefs Erin, Barry, and Julie will be open for business!

Friday, August 28 - Book Birthday Party for Connie Rossman's 3rd novel: The Mission to Earth.  6-8 p.m.  Free and open to the public.

Mondays at 7:00: Music Appreciation Lecture Series continues on Mondays (last lecture is Tuesday, September 8 - because Monday, the 7th is Labor Day).  $10 per lecture -- drop in for a session.

Friday, September 4 - Reading by Writer-in-Residence Phillip Sterling at 7:00 p.m.  This reading is also a wrap-up event for the summer writer-in-residence program of Ludington Visiting Writers.  Free and open to the public.

Thursday, September 17 - Acrylic Painting Class, 10-noon, sponsored by WSCC's Academy of Lifelong Learning.  Email Ruth Gustafson for more information or to register.

Thursday, September 17 - Ivan's xtc - Film Screening at 7:30 as part of Ludington Writers Fall Conference - free and open to the public. Ludington native Lisa Enos stars in and co-produced this 2000 film about the mystery behind the death of a fictional Hollywood agent. Enos will be at the film screening and is leading a screenwriting workshop during the writers' conference.

Friday, September 18 - Writers Conference reading at 7:00 p.m. Free and open to the public.

Saturday, September 19 - Writers Conference reading at 7:00 p.m.

SEPTEMBER 1ST DEADLINE IS APPROACHING FOR ALL ARTISTS AND CRAFTERS TO APPLY FOR HOLIDAY FINE ARTS AND CRAFTS SHOW

Applications are available for this year's Holiday Fine Arts and Crafts Show at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.

This juried show will be Thanksgiving weekend, Friday, Nov. 27 and Saturday, Nov. 28 at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts
