We are coming down to the final preparations for APT!
I'm sorry the newsletter is getting out so late this week, but this week has thrown us a few curve balls - it just wouldn't be an "advanced" conference without a few things going wrong.
First and most concerning is, Florence has suffered a mild heart attack while traveling last week and is in the hospital. She is doing very well, but will under go a procedure to repare the collapsed stent that was put in last March along with repairing three others while they are repairing the first one. To say the least, she will not be coming to APT this year.
All is not lost - there is still good news in all of this. I contacted Kendra Smiley to see if she would be available to be our keynote speaker for the banquet, and she was - is!! Kendra is a long term CLASSeminar staff member, National Speaker with a radio program which airs around the country. Check your local Christian radio station for Live Life Intentionally.
You are in for a treat! You will LOVE HER!!
A personal note from Florence.
As some of you dear friends may know, last March I had one of my arteries cleaned out and a stent put in to give me unblocked energy. Some of you may feel I didn't need more energy, but I got it anyway. In the last few weeks I have been under more stress than usual: 3 days of CLASS without a full staff, 4 days in Ohio sitting with my minister brother Jim, who is battling cancer and 2 full days of speaking to a large insurance company in Madison, WI, where I was the "Diversity Speaker."
Gratefully Gerry was with me for physical and emotional support. When walking through the Chicago O'Hare Airport, my legs seemed to quit working. Gerry got me a wheelchair, pushed me to the gate and got me on the plane home. I felt fine, but didn't sleep well and felt very tired in the morning. My daughter-in-law Kristy called the doctor who said to meet him at the hospital--St. Rose of Sienna, who died at age 31, not giving us patients a lot of confidence.
An angiogram showed the stent and artery had blocked again. Only 20% of the people ever have a problem like this with a stent so I had to have the procedure repeated and a new stent inserted. During this time the doctor found two more blockages which will be repaired tomorrow, Sept. 4. If I ever get 100% energy watch out. I have had to cancel my full calendar for at least two months while I recover.
Only St. Rose Knows what the future holds. Pray for the Lord's will in my life for I'm sure he's not through with me yet!

Thursday Night Banquet Changes
The Banquet on Thursday night is optional ($25.00). Kendra Smiley will be giving the keynote for the evening and we will have a meet and greet time afterwards, giving us time to share what we are doing with The Personalities.

I trust You to meet those needs in the way that is best. You know what is in my heart and mind today.
