Dear Friend of Great Plains Restoration Council, 

All too often, in protecting and restoring the awe-inspiring beauty of Earth's native ecosystems and providing refuge for critically embattled native wildlife, we overlook the stories and voices of the people who are touched and impacted by doing the work.

As we move forward, Great Plains Restoration Council wishes to periodically share with you some of these voices.

Here, Calvin Glenn, one of our first Restoration Not Incarceration crew members, eloquently shares the story of the endangered native Coastal Prairie on the Gulf of Mexico -- intertwined with his own. Calvin penned this himself. GPRC encourages artistic self-expression from everybody.
