Please come out and help people and the prairie get healthy again!
- pull weeds
- haul brush and tree limbs
- remove invasive species
- prepare the soil in the front organic farm
- build a second coastal prairie wetland
- learn about nature-based work therapy and how you can help heal lives and reduce recidivism and other social problems
Esteban Park is a brand new refuge for urban Houston - part coastal prairie restoration preserve, part organic farm. It is also serving as the educational springboard for two landscape-level restoration complexes of native coastal prairie & wetlands several thousand acres in size each, west and east of Houston along the Upper Texas Gulf Coast
There is less than 1% of our native coastal prairie left. And many people are struggling. Restoration Not Incarceration™ helps heal both.
Esteban Park is a partnership between Great Plains Restoration Council
and St. John's Downtown.
