Plaid Tidings Takes a Break
In November 2011, Plaid Tidings celebrated its 20th year.
The annual show and sale of artisans' work has been successful, but a recent trend has seen dwindling attendance as similar shows have emerged in Toronto.
On the recommendation of members of the organizing committee and past chairpersons, it has been decided that Plaid Tidings will go on hiatus this fall. The show will, we hope, return in 2014, in a revamped format.
Over the years, the volunteer-run Plaid Tidings has showcased the work of hundreds of artisans, while raising funds for Branksome Hall programs, campus improvements and bursary endowments.
The hiatus will allow for the opportunity to re-think the event, and explore different possibilities to improve on what is currently offered.
We look forward to the renaissance of Plaid Tidings in its revitalized format.
