New York's Great Appliance Swap Out: Extended!
With millions of dollars still remaining, New York consumers who purchase qualified high efficiency appliances are still eligible to receive rebates through the Great Appliance Swap Out. But hurry - applications are only valid while funding lasts!

Receive a cash rebate by purchasing a new ENERGY STARŪ qualified refrigerator, freezer or clothes washer! New ENERGY STARŪ refrigerator, freezer or clothes washer purchase must replace an existing appliance. Plus recycling your old, existing appliances of the same type, makes you eligible for the maximum rebate.

Appliance Rebates

The U.S. Department of Energy (D.O.E.) issued grants to U.S. States to provide American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding for developing and implementing an Energy-Efficient Appliance Rebate Program. This rebate program is available to consumers replacing their old, still functioning appliances with new ENERGY STARŪ qualified appliances.

Details on the rebate opportunities and applications can be found at www.nyapplianceswapout.com.

Energy Tip!
Clothes Washers

*Do your laundry during off-peak hours, after 6:30 p.m. and before 9:30 a.m., and hang your clothes outdoors in the summer.

*When doing your laundry, use a cold water wash on full loads.

*Clean the lint trap regularly to keep it running more efficiently and make sure the exhaust isn't blocked.

*Horizontal-axis clothes washers (front loaders) are far more gentle and effective on your clothes, and are much more energy efficient when compared to traditional clothes washers.
