Kenneth came to Dental Salon in the spring of of this year with the goal of having a new smile by his birthday in July. As a jewelry designer with a celebrity following, Kenneth found himself feeling ashamed of his smile and often hesitant to take photos with clients. Most of Kenneth's teeth had no remaining enamel and were only covered with dentin, the soft layer found under the enamel. After years of having the dentin layer exposed, his teeth were showing severe signs of wear as well as being uncomfortably sensitive.
Once he consulted with Kenneth about his concerns and current condition, Dr. Scott Overholser decided the best permanent solution would be to cover all 28 of his teeth with porcelain crowns. Dr. Scott and his assistant Vicky worked with Kenneth over a span of three months to complete this amazing transformation. He was such a great patient throughout the treatment and the process was complete in time for his birthday! Now, Kenneth has the confidence to go out and meet anyone, and is no longer self-conscious of his smile.

"Words can't express how happy I am with my dental procedure at the Dental Salon. I had some major dental work done on my smile which involved having 4 wisdom teeth extracted and then received 28 porcelain crowns. The project lasted for 3 months. Every single visit to the Dental Salon was like having an appointment at a high end Beverly Hills Salon. My oral surgeon, Dr. Katsnelson was superb not only during the wisdom teeth extraction process but also afterwards when I needed several numbing shots at the peak of my project.
My dentist, Dr. Scott Overholder was truly extraordinary and top-notch, I would recommend him to everyone from my next door neighbor to Oprah. He explained during each appointment what the next step or course of action would entail. He was approachable, friendly, calm and a perfectionist. Dr. Scott listened to my feedback and experiences each week as we moved along the project as it related to any issues or questions I had about the procedure. He was completely professional and had a high degree of integrity and pride in his work. Because my project had a deadline (because of my birthday and summer vacation approaching), there were a few visits where we stayed late to finish what was talked about so that we would stay on target. Dr. Scott's assistant, Vicky was truly amazing as well. She was professional and caring each visit during the process of going from temporary teeth to the permanent crowns. There were also a lot of photos and impressions which were done and everyone was great to work with.
To summarize, the entire staff at the Dental Salon from the front desk to another assistant was unbelievably friendly, attentive and courteous. The Dental Salon offers the best hours in Chicagoland, open every day from early in the morning to late at night. They only close one holiday a year I believe and they still offer emergency assistance at that time. The folks at the Dental Salon also call to remind you of your appointment and send you a quick follow-up survey after your visit. For the major procedures you are given handouts of what to do and not do as well as in-person chats of what you can eat or what you may experience post-op.
While I was deathly afraid of the dentist in the past and put it off for years, the Dental Salon was a dream come true and I am so grateful to Dr. Scott Overholder and the great care he took with my smile and for making it a pleasurable experience. I began to look at the procedure as an improvement lifestyle, like going to the gym and was sad when we were all completed because we all became friends and it was almost like going to a semester of school with this great group of people and professionals.
