You Ask, We Answer!
"I have a tough time getting myself to floss regularly. It seems like a hassle, even though I know it helps to clean between the teeth. Are there any other benefits to flossing that can help motivate me to do it more often?"
Excellent question - thank you!
There are very few individuals that actually enjoy flossing, not to mention that it can be very uncomfortable if you do not do it on a consistent basis. However, getting in the habit of flossing is one of the absolute most important things you can do at home to maintain healthy teeth and gums. If stuck on a desert island and faced with a choice to only brush or floss, many of our dentists would choose to floss! Your odds against gum disease, bad breath and tooth decay can be greatly reduced by keeping the space between teeth clean and properly flossing just under the edge of the gums. A simple reminder like a sticky note on your bathroom mirror for a week can help establish a routine. Once you get in the habit of flossing it shouldn't take you more than a minute each day.

| Dr. Stec and his assistant (?) did an overall amazing job. I went there for an emergency toothache most likely because they were open on Sunday. However, after dealing with the Dr. Stec and his crew's knowledge, honesty, and care, I will be going to him for any / all future dental work. All of the other staff were also very friendly and helpful. |
