As you wind down 2008, be assured you are actually gearing up for 2009! As of the August Eclipses, we are officially in a *NEW* 18-20 year cycle. The remainder of this year will be clearing the PAST 18-20 year cycle. It is a *NEW DAY*!!
OCT ... is the month you will likely have the most energy for getting things done! Mars, which represents passion, action and how we use our energy, is in Scorpio, the energy of karma and creation, which will make you highly motivated to release the past and plant the seeds of your future. The deeper side of this energy is that you need to realize and acknowledge how the IN-visible ~ creates the visible. Every tangible thing you have ever created or manifested in your life started with a thought and/or an intention - both invisible yet powerful. Mars energy gets some long-term support from Saturn (structure and consolidation) and Jupiter (abundance and expansion). This is an opportunity pour your energy into stabilizing a life that is more congruent with your Truth and Purpose.
NOV ... is a powerful month of major and permanent change! On Election Day in the US, when we hope to move our nation in a new direction with a brighter (and more sustainable) future, Saturn, which rules structures, government and institutions, is mixing it up with Uranus, which rules radical, collective shifts and change on an epic level. The analogy of the bird hatching from the egg is best here. The "structures" have gotten too tight to contain humanity as it grows and we are now breaking free in to completely new territory where we will have to find our way with very little frame of reference as all that we've known thus far is about to change completely. These two planets only get together like this every 45 years, and the energy will be felt strongly for the next two years while we use Uranus' gift for illuminating alternatives which may seem daunting at first glance, but which will ultimately bring freedom. And Saturn reminds us that nothing worthwhile is ever without sacrifice and peace must be nurtured.
DEC ... is time for reflection and gratitude, where both endings and new beginnings are concerned. You must let go of that which is already on its way out of your life and prepare for the next leg of your journey. Holding on will hurt and prolong the painful process. Dig deep for your faith in goodness, remember that our Source is Infinite and all that you truly need to make it is already within you. The energies suggest that if you cultivate a small community (when two or more gather ...) that supports and nourishes you on one or many levels, you will absolutely be led to a greater vision for all involved. The key will be in accepting the things that have shifted within your essential nature. You have grown through all the experiences of the last 2-20 years, it's time to take that education and apply it in real time to see what fruit it will bear.
Overall, the last quarter of 2008 closes a cycle of biblical proportions and don't think it is just you either, this is a collective shift, awakening each of us to our individual contributions to this new (unprecedented) GLOBAL COMMUNITY. Things are shifting from quantity to QUALITY. Substance is going to be much more important than appearances going forward and values must shift accordingly. There is deep nutrient in diversity ~ there is power in unity ~ and there is something to be said for "thinking globally and acting locally". We are living at a pivotal time in Earth's HISTORY ... what small, significant piece would you like to contribute?

Now for the most potent of the transits for the week. On the up side, this energy will assist you in walking your talk. This will help you ground a daily practice which reflects your Truth.
However, it may still feel like intense pressure, as if you're being pushed by forces beyond your control, both from without and within. The way you live and how you use your energies will be tested this week, perhaps forcing you to make radical changes in the areas of your life that you find are not working very well.
The best way to use this influence is to let go of old patterns of behavior that recent events have demonstrated to be invalid. Holding on to them will only make your life more difficult, and if you give them up, you will have room for the positive creative changes that can take place now.
In fact, one manifestation of this transit can be a powerful sense of having purged something from your life. Every one of us is being held accountable for our actions. Anything you have left undone or did poorly will come back to bite you (and demand that you do it right this time). Another up side of this energy is that the parts of your life that ARE going well, and will be your source of strength. Don't forget all your strengths and gifts!!

JOINING ALUNA JOY
Aluna Joy's 14th Annual Solar Wave is the first year (that I know of) that she expanded her efforts to include a Fall Equinox celebration, which she refers to as Phase Two: Gaia ~ The Living Prayer Wheel. The first one was called A Stellar Synchronized 24hr Global Equinox Event. She reminds us to use Local Sidereal Time, also known as, Local *Star* Time, which is the one hour per day when we are all 400% more effective in our spiritual work. To incorporate this potent timing, thus creating a *WAVE*, she suggests taking time during 1pm-3pm (your local time) on Sept 22nd ~ Fall Equinox to be still and visualize ~ meditate and contribute your prayers and Light energy to this great planet's well-being ... along with millions of other souls, all around the globe contributing their energy and prayers for health, wholeness and abundance for ALL living beings.

There is immeasurable value in your conscious intent. The reason you invest your energy in this way is so that the Highest possible outcome has the absolute, greatest chance of manifesting. Your results will be in direct proportion to your energetic investment. And that would be QUALITY, not necessarily quantity, because even if the time you devote to this is only 15 minutes, some energy is better than no energy, devoted to grounding your deepest desires and truest purpose, not to mention the upcoming new year. Invest in YOU and your own potential! Take 15 minutes or more, with one or more like-minded souls (on the phone or in person) and join us for this sacred meditation.
Though this is profoundly personal, individual work, many of us share the desire and intention to live in a peaceful and thriving community. How and when that (peaceful and thriving) community manifests, lies within each individual. We are strengthened, fortified and uplifted every time we find out we are NOT ALONE. A solid connection and sense of belonging are incredibly sacred gifts that we will share during this season of renewal, adding juice and power to our individual and collective intentions.
