Greetings!

 Shootout at Poppy Ridge
 December 1st and 2nd

The Golf Lab is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art club fitting. After testing and analysis, we make sure you get clubs that fit. We have the best technology and an extensive array of custom test clubs - each built to precise specifications with high performance shafts.

But, absolute certainty that your clubs are correct requires hitting shots from natural grass for feel and seeing the ball fly.

The Golf Lab returns to Poppy Ridge on December 1st and 2nd for a unique "Shootout". You will have access to the latest technology: The Trackman and the new EDH Kudu. The radar-based launch monitors are valued at over $40,000. Both systems are PGA Tour-Proven.

Driver Fitting, Set Gapping, Club Comparison

Radar is unique in its capabilities for club fitting. Radars track the entire flight of the ball - the speed, the spin and the trajectory. A key fitting factor to maximize carry and roll is your "angle of descent". The only way to track angle of descent is with radar.

How far do you hit each club in your bag? With radar- based launch monitors, you can "gap" your set precisely. Radar is the most efficient method to reveal your exact distance with every club. It is a great investment in your game to gap your clubs with radar - you will know your distances - precisely.

Which club is the best performer for you? Testing indoors, we focus on ball speed and consistent spin and trajectory to determine performance. Outdoors, we take a different view. We can compare the performance of your clubs for accuracy and consistency - distance, trajectory and spin included. Advanced software completes the analysis. There is no better way to compare the performance of golf clubs than combining detailed, scientific indoor fitting with outdoor, radar-based analysis.

The next-generation radars are unique because they can "see" the golf club. As that capability becomes well known, you are sure to hear more about radar as a swing analysis and training tool. But that's a subject for another day. Check your calendar for December 1st and 2nd and meet us at Poppy Ridge.

 High Performance Driver Fitting

Once you know how your driver is performing you need access to high performance test clubs. What good is testing drivers if you only have one brand to try? Comparing multiple brands side by side is the best method. At the Golf Lab, we only care about performance, not brand names. Brand names? We've got them all.

For the Shootout, we have a fabulous array of high performance drivers available for testing. If you are looking for a driver that performs better than the one you already own, you will find plenty of candidates at the Shootout.

We have Taylormade Burner TP's - supposedly the "hottest head" of the season shafted with the best high performance shafts on the planet: the Matrix XCON 5, Fujikura Rombax and the 'Whup-un" shaft - the winner at the recent World Long Drive Championships.

If you think that the Callaway FT-i is the one, you can test it with the stock Speeder shaft at the Shootout. We have a selection of Nickent, Adams, Nike, SMT, Alpha and KZG heads shafted with every high performance shaft that we can think of. If you've been wondering how a certain shaft performs for you - you'll wonder no longer - you'll know because you hit it. If you've been wondering what head fits your eye - you'll wonder no longer because you hit it. You'll also know which one performs the best because the Trackman and the Kudu will tell you.

This is not random testing. Once we measure the performance of your current driver, we will hand you alternatives that maximize performance with higher or lower trajectory, more or less spin - and more ball speed. No speculation or opinion - you know for sure. No time is wasted hitting clubs that can't fit.

The Golf Lab is recognized by Fujikura, Matrix, Mitsubishi, Accra, Nippon, Stulz and True Temper as one of the top shaft specialists in the USA. Only at the Shootout will you have a complete array of high performance shafts to test.

By the way, you'll be hitting complete clubs. We don't think that screwing a shaft on a head reveals the true feel and performance of a driver.

 Fairways and Utilities

Is there such a thing as a fairway wood that goes farther? We think there is. The Wishon 949 has been our leading model all summer. Why not test the Wishon against your own three wood? Just to be sure, let the Trackman or the Kudu tell you the results - exactly.

For utilities, the hardest thing is to match the right shaft with the head that suits your eye and then make sure the trajectory is perfect by seeing the ball fly. You can't do that at an indoor net. To make the critical shaft choice, we have all of the top performers, from the Fujikura 905 and the Banzai to our standby, the Aerotech Steel Fiber.

For your testing pleasure, we have the leading utilities: Adams Idea Pro, Nickent 4 DX and the new Nike SUMO line. We won't waste your time with cheap stock shafts.

 Wedges

The Scratch line has been getting a lot of notice lately in forged wedges. We have a broad selection of Scratch wedges, some with plain vanilla shafts and some with the wedge shafts we prefer: Project X, Aerotech 125, Nippon Blue and Rifle Spinners. We'll also have a bag full of classic wedges if you're looking for something special, like a Ping BeCu lob, a Yonex PM or a Watson grind.

We won't leave the Mizuno's or the Miura's at home either.

 Irons

We're not going to empty the shop, but we'll have a nice selection of demos with the shafts you probably haven't tried. The new Tour Concept, the new Project X, the Aerotech 110 and the Matrix 115.

Just to make things interesting, we'll just skip to the top and mount the iron demos on Miura, MP 60 and KZG Evolution forged heads.

To make sure that each player gets our undivided attention, reservations are required. The cost is $125. Here's what you get:

If you have a Taylor Made r7 you can verify that your weight alignment produces the desired effect. Does your draw biased driver actually draw? You have access to all of our test clubs for performance comparison.

After your launch monitor fitting time you have continued use of our high performance demo clubs for continued testing. Unlimited range balls and personal advice will be supplied. Custom orders will be accepted.

We recommend that you arrive a half hour prior to your reserved time so you can warm up. If you want to get full value from your trip to Poppy Ridge, you can book a lesson with Eric Jones' Seaver Golf academy. Go to: www.seavergolf.co m.
