OK, let’s have a little fun. The Golf Lab is sponsoring a contest with a great Grand Prize and 19 additional prizes so you just have to be good – not merely lucky to win. Remember a key lesson from golf – winning is good for your self-esteem.

You get to pick five players from the PGA field. The Golf Lab customer who picks the five whose combined winnings at the PGA is the highest wins a fabulous prize. Runners up will receive prizes that are still worth having. This contest is open to our customers around the world. We will ship your prize to Europe or Asia.

We will start you out on the Achiever launch monitor to find your swing path, face angle, clubhead speed, ball speed and launch angle.

After we understand your swing, we’ll move over to the Max Out Shaft Max to find out how you load the shaft. Then, we’ll have a close look at the ball after impact. The Max Out Launch Max will tell us the exact ball speed, spin rate and trajectory with the ball you use on the golf course. We will spend some time hitting some of our vast stock of high performance demo drivers to dial in the best possible results. You will be sure that you have right specifications to fit your swing.

Finishing the job, we will build you a custom driver to match your specifications. The driver head is a SMT 455 DB in the correct loft and a top quality Aerotech Steel Fiber shaft in the correct length, weight and flex. Of course, the combination will be SST PUREd. As a final tweak, we’ll even test your ball speed with a Balance-Certified counter weight to see if we can squeeze another couple MPH out of the setup. It’s not a million bucks, but the fair price for that combination of products and services is north of $500

Here’s the catch: You can only pick two players from the top 20. Three players MUST come from players ranked 21 to 125. There are plenty of top players that haven’t cracked the top 20. You can have Padraig Harrington, Ernie Els and Sergio Garcia if you think that Europe is ready for a breakthrough. Chris DiMarco is lurking at number 46. Picking former Major Winner Rich Beem would take a lot of faith – he’s at 115.

To enter all you have to do is call up the Excel spreadsheet and place an “X” in the column “my picks”. Type your name into the top line. Then, just email the spreadsheet back to Leith@calgolftech.com. It won’t take more than two minutes – not counting thinking time. If you really, really want to win – we’ll leave the entries open until 10 AM Chicago Time on Thursday. If you care enough, you can check out the first few holes of the morning players.
