2011 Chapter Championship
Last year, Boston sent 6 women to the finals...will you be a finalist this year?
You can't win if you don't play!
Registration is now open!
Join us for a fun filled day on July 16 as we play Boston's Chapter Championship. Whether you are new to competition, or can't wait for your next trophy...we want to see you on the course this July.
The EWGA Championship is the largest women's amateur golf tournament in the world. Participation requires an official USGA Handicap Index and is for EWGA members only. The Championship is played in three stages:
- The Chapter Championship, an 18-hole qualifying round, held on July 16 at Red Tail GC in Devens, MA. Winners advance to:
- The Semi-Final Championship, an 18-hole qualifying round, held on August 20 at Turning Stone Resort & Casino - Shenendoah Course in central NY. Winners advance to:
- The EWGA Championship Finals, a 36-hole final, held on October 21 & 22 in Palm Desert, CA.
Who Can Play
Entries are open to all EWGA Chapter members in good standing who are female amateur golfers and have a verifiable USGA Handicap Index. Players with a trend handicap or local index exceeding 40.4 at the time of registration into the Championship Qualifier are only permitted to play in the Scramble division.
The USGA Rules of Golf Apply.
So, gather your scramble team or get out practicing, as it is sure to be a fun event.

League News
League play begins the week of May 9th! There is still time to sign up to be an alternate at most of our popular leagues for this season. Take advantage of an opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy 9 holes before or after work...all for $25 per league! Alternate signup ends May 7.
Weekly Wayland CC 18-Hole League
Take advantage of this Thursday morning league when you want a break from work - or from working in the garden. This league is open to all members of the Boston Chapter. It's available when you want to play, but you must register each week to reserve your spot. Check it out and join us when you can. |
All events are listed on the Golf Events Information page and many are available for immediate registration. Don't miss opportunities to play at 11 new courses this season - as well as some of our old favorites. Special Requests
If you have specific needs relative to an event (such as an early or late tee time), please utilize the Notes section of the registration page to inform the event coordinator of your request. We will attempt to accommodate requests, though it is not always possible. After the event is finalized, requests for changes in tee times are at the discretion of the event coordinator; please remember that this is an additional workload on the volunteer coordinator! Cape Cod Events
Registration is open for this season's play on Cape Cod. Join us at Captains Golf Club Saturday, June 4 and/or Hyannis Golf Club on Sunday, June 5. These are two new courses for our 2011 season and worth the trip to play. You can register separately for each event.
Come enjoy springtime on beautiful Cape Cod. Anyone interested in staying overnight should check out the rates at the Days Inn in Hyannis.
Win Free Green Fees!
The more events you play in 2011, the greater your chances of winning gift certificates for green fees for 2 with a cart at one of the following:
- Acushnet River Valley Golf Course
- South Shore Country Club
Here's how it works: You will be registered to win every time you play an event this season; the more events you play, the greater your chances of winning. The contest will end on August 27 so you can use your gift certificates in September!
Fall Vermont Weekend October 2-4
Return with us to the spectacular Green Mountain National Golf Course and Killington Golf Course and enjoy discounted green fees and accommodations for EWGA members. Your cost of $250 includes:
- 2 nights condo accommodations (3 bedroom, 2 bath - 4 people)
- Pizza Bonanza Event on Saturday night
