Go Jackie Go!!

The Women Who Lead awards honor women who have made a difference in their Chapter through outstanding performance and outstanding results in 10 award categories.

Our own Jackie Corcoran is a finalist in 2 categories:  Overall Leadership and Change Agent. Look for winners in the February EWGA Connections. We're rooting for you, Jackie!

New Member Recruitment Effort

In December, EWGA was one of over 100 exhibitors at the Massachusetts Conference for Women. Hosted in conjunction with the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women, this one-day conference is in its fifth year and attracts over 5000 women from the area. This year, the conference featured keynote speaker Suze Orman (who was terrific, by the way).

Our booth team had a fun filled day with a putting contest and prize giveways. Overall, we met over 200 women who wanted to learn what our members know - what a powerful tool golf is for networking, career development, and just plain having fun! The team signed up 3 new members that day - not bad for a rainy, gloomy December day - and we look forward to meeting more at kickoff.

Congratulations to Nora McDonnell from State Street, lucky winner of a set of Wilson clubs.

And....

Thanks to our team of dedicated volunteers for representing the Chapter so well!

All Hands on Deck!

We need volunteers for the Connections Kickoff event and Chapter Championship.

The Kickoff will be here before we know it - in spite of Mother Nature's indications to the contrary. Can you spare some time on April 18 to help with any of the following tasks?
  • Greeting
  • Registration
  • Speaker marshals
  • Gift bags
  • Drawing ticket sellers
Plans are under way for our 2010 Chapter Championship on July 17. To make the tournament a success, we need help with the planning and volunteers for the day of the event to help with:
  • Registration
  • Introducing playing partners
  • Directing players to practice areas
  • Spotting on key holes
  • Taking pictures
  • Scoring
