Rachel Hauck's, Love Starts With Elle, is in stores now. I love this story.
Check out Rachel's super cool video trailer here
! I love it...so unique!
Elle's living the dream - but is it her dream or his?
Elle loves life in Beaufort, South Carolina - lazy summer days on the sand bar, coastal bonfires and dinner with friends sharing a lifetime of memories. And she's found her niche as the owner of a successful art gallery too. Life is good.
Then they dynamic pastor of her small town church sweeps her off her feet.
She's never known man like Jeremiah - one who breathes in confidence and exhales all doubt. When he proposes in the setting sunlight, Elle hands him her heart on a silver platter.
But Jeremiah's just accepted a large pastorate in a different state. If she's serious about there relationship, Elle will take "the call," too, leaving behind the people and place she loves so dearly. Elle's friendship with her new tenant, widower Heath McCord, and his young daughter make things complicated.
Is love transferrable across the miles? And can you take it with you when you go?
I love waking up to birds singing, and getting up early to read my Bible in the hot sunshine. I love the smell of fresh cut grass stealing through my office window, I love going barefoot, I love the smell of fresh cut lilacs, peonies, lupine, and hydrangea from my garden (see pix !), I love hot dogs on the grill.
Summer makes my heart take flight and I find myself full of praise for my incredible, summertime-making God.
It's sorta the same way with a book. When it finally arrives, bound and pretty, smelling new, it's still a wonder to me. Still magical. I curl up on the sofa, and as if for the first time, read it through, (trying to ignore all the mistakes!) It's amazing and I can't help but just praise the Lord.
I was reading Psalm 136 this week - a psalm of praise for all God has done, all He will do. I love that between each stanza is the reminder that His love endures forever. It's a great summertime psalm, one that demands a dramatic, heartfelt reading, barefoot in the backyard, arms outstretched, eyes to heaven. Most of all, I love the last stanzas....
To the One who remembered us in our low estate...and freed us from our enemies...(ie, death, sin, despair...), Give thanks to the God of heaven...
His love endures forever!
Summer is SO busy - where exactly are those touted lazy days? I don't know where you are this summer but I pray that you're able to stop and breathe, sit in the sun and even raise your voice in praise. Preferably barefoot.

I'm in the middle of writing a new book - "Nothing But Trouble" - the misadventures of a wanna-be PI named PJ Sugar. Look for Get Cozy, Josey, the third installment of Josey's adventures in Russia - this time she goes to Siberia! (Yes, it's autobiographical!)
Thank you for reading!
....His love endures forever!

Watch out Rafe...here comes Stefanie!
While, big brother Rafe, might be up for a RITA AWARD this summer, for Taming Rafe, his little sister Stefanie is beginning an adventure all her own...
Everyone around Stefanie Noble is content, but it seems that her "happily ever after" has passed her by. Then two troubled girls and their older brother, Gideon, show up in town and clearly need help. Could they bring the fulfillment that Stefanie has been searching for?
Hollywood hotshot Lincoln Cash has made a life playing the role of an action hero, basking in the laurels of his fame, fortune, and adoring fans. But when he's diagnosed with a debilitating disease, he knows that life will soon be over. He only has a small window of time to start a new career, one that will earn him legitimate filmmaker kudos. He soon heads to Phillips, Montana, to put his plan into action. Not everyone is pleased with the movie star's arrival, especially not Stefanie Noble. She's even less enamored when he accuses Gideon of arson and tries to run him out of town.
But what Lincoln and Stefanie don't know is that neither the fire nor the other strange things that have happened around town are really accidents. Someone is out to get them . . . but who? And who is the real target?
She's out gallivanting at bookstores! Somewhere... Waiting for people to find her. *g*

for Wiser Than Serpents! I love that the book's messge is being spread around the blog-o-sphere!
Did you know that there are 27 million people around the globe held as slaves today - more thank 80% of them women and children, and up to 50% minors. In fact, there are MORE slaves today than were in the time of William Wilberforce. That leaves me horrified, and it was those stats that compelled me to write a story with a human trafficking plotline.
Wiser than Serpents
is a continuation of the Mission:Russia series, a thriller about Yanna, whose sister is snatched through a Russian dating service, and disappears. Yanna enlists the help of Delta Force Captain, David Curtiss to find and rescue her. Readers who've read, In Sheep's Clothing
