This resolution is especially noteworthy as it compliments a very important bill, "Teaching Children to Save Lives Act" (H.R. 3189), which was introduced in October by Rep. Lois Capps (D-CA) and eight of her colleagues. The bill would oversee the creation of a program to provide grants for CPR and AED training in public elementary and secondary schools.
The SADS Foundation issued a letter of support for H.R. 3189 and has been following it closely since inception earlier this year. This was also a topic for many of the SADS Foundation legislative meetings that took place in October.
