First of all, THANK YOU! You have all been doing some amazing work contacting your representatives and sharing your opinions. And because of that, some important progress has been made through meetings with some key Senators Grassley and Harkin of Iowa this week. Senator Harkin's support is very important to the longevity of these programs as he sits on a few key decision-making committees. In meetings this week he and Senator Grassley expressed their interest in these programs, now we need to show him that his support is appreciated--and vital. In addition, Senator Platts of Pennsylvania has expressed his interest but has not yet given a notice of support.
Today we're asking our advocates, especially in Iowa and Pennsylvania, to help us get the word to their senators (Harkin, Grassley, and Platts) that supporting these programs is not only important to the SADS community, but it is a matter of saving lives!! If you have friends in Iowa and Pennsylvania, forward this important message to them. We cannot waste precious time as we get closer to victory!

The following are some ways you can take quick action to ensure this life-saving program is preserved.
