Patients and patient support organizations (like the SADS Foundation), deserve quick access to the latest research reports on relevant health care developments, without having to pay for them. What is Public Access? Public access means that published results of research funded by the U.S. government can be accessed and used by American taxpayers via the Internet, without the financial barrier of journal subscription fees. Why is public access important? Patients, their families, the organizations that serve them, and healthcare providers need and want access to information about research findings to inform health care decision-making. Join the SADS Foundation and encourage your Representatives and Senators to support or co-sponsor the Federal Research Public Access Act (S.1373, H.R. 5037). For more information about this bill, and how you can take action, visit the SADS website. Sincerely, Alice, Laura, Joanne, Heidi and Adrienne The SADS Foundation
P.S. Thanks for taking action! Please let us know who you contacted by emailing sads@sads.org or replying to this email.
