Miracle Valley Announces
Platform to be rebuilt in Tabernacle

Platform

The above photo shows A. A. Allen, his team and the Miracle Valley choir singing on the stage in the vast Tabernacle at Miracle Valley, AZ.

Revivals and Camp Meetings are being scheduled in March and April. Dr. Harter believes that the platform should be reconstructed in the tabernacle so it can be utilized for the up-coming services.

The platform is 60 feet long and 27 feet wide. It is 40 inches high. In addition, a 40 foot ramp is attached to the front of the platform.
Jerry Kilgore Draws Plans for Platform

Jerry
Jerry Kilgore, a retired contractor who built churches throughout the Mid-Western part of the United States, spend several weeks visiting at Miracle Valley.

Jerry drew plans for the re-construction of the platform. His plans are taken from measurements and old photos of the original platform that were in the Archives Department.

Jerry then made a list of the materials that were required for the platform.  They consisted of -

       (Quantity) (Size) (Length)
  1.   50 -   2x4s   -  16'
  2.   60 -   2x4s   -  14'
  3.   25 -   2x6s   -  14'
  4. 110 -   2x10s  -  16'
  5.   53 -   3/4"    -  4x8   -  OSB Board  - Tongue & Grove
  6.   53 -   7/16"  -  4x8   -  OSB Board  -  Not Tongue & Grove
  7. Screws, Nails & Glue
Excluding the screws, nails, and glue which we calculate to be approximately $100, the balance of the material, including tax and delivery, totals up to just $2,800.

truckThe banisters that go along side of the ramp cost $2,800. This is not part of the construction material costs. If anyone would like to make this special donation or give toward it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Jerry has arthritis in his hands. He is seen here washing his hands in the water at Miracle Valley. Jerry believes that God's power that occurred in the past from the water at Miracle Valley can occur again.
Peter Contreras Donates $1,000 toward Materials for Platform

truck Anyone and everyone who has ever been associated with Miracle Valley knows Peter Contreras.

Peter attended Miracle Valley Bible College during the administration of Rev. A. A. Allen. While at Miracle Valley, Peter worked in Allen's Printing Department and operated several large presses.

During his stay at Miracle Valley, Peter met a fellow student Phyllis, who shortly after graduation asked her to become his wife to whom she graciously consented.

Peter developed an outreach mission in Naco, Arizona as well as reaching into the missions field in Naco, Sonora Mexico.

After his graduation from Miracle Valley, Peter and his wife returned to Blue Island, Illinois to help the church that his father was pastoring. Shortly after arrival, Peter became the pastor of the Bethel Pentecostal Church located in Blue Island.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE From Dr. Harter

Dr. Melvin Harter Friends, as I mentioned in the past, the vast Allen Tabernacle is my favorite building at Miracle Valley. There are many times that I can sense a deep move of the Spirit of God in the building.

Due to lack of funds, the tabernacle literally became a disgraceful sight. We have worked very hard to get it back into shape. But we still have a long way to go.

I appreciate Jerry Kilgore coming to Miracle Valley. He has drawn the plans for the platform and developed a list of materials that is required to reconstruct the large platform.

Dr. Dennis Robinson who has faithfully worked with me for the past 8 years was able to get the prices together for the materials.  The cost of the materials run from $3,206.43 to $4,860.55 and this does not include any additional expenses such as sheet rock, banisters or carpet.  It only involves the actual wood material.

However, today our local Home Depot offered us a special deal.  We can get the material from them for $2,800 but that price is only good for today.  I don't know their reasoning, but I thanked God for it.

I immediately made a telephone call to our dear friend Peter Contreras who had expressed to us in the past that he would like to make a donation toward the platform.  Praise God! Brother & Sister Contreras immediately wired into our bank account a $1,000 donation.  A few others have helped us as well to make it a grand total of $1,500 that was wired into our bank account today. However, we are still $1,300 short of what we need. I NEED YOU TO WIRE YOUR DONATION TO OUR BANK. PLEASE CALL SISTER HARTER AT (520) 366-5559 SO SHE CAN GIVE YOU WIRING INSTRUCTIONS TO MIRACLE VALLEY'S BANK ACCOUNT.

Now friends, if anything was ever operated on faith, Miracle Valley operates on total faith.  I am a man of faith and I believe God for our needs.

Recently someone stated to me that they could see no way how I can pull Miracle Valley out of our present situation. I responded by saying, "It was a miracle that I ever got Miracle Valley in the first place, it has been miracle that has kept me here, and it will be a miracle that gets me through."

Some people talk about faith, but they really do not have the faintest idea of what it means to walk by faith.  One of our theme songs here at Miracle Valley is one that we use to sing in church when I was a child. It's called, "Living By Faith, In Jesus Above."

Now friend, I desperately need your donation to help me have the necessary funds to purchase the material for the platform in the tabernacle. We do not have a broad base of individuals from which to draw our support. However, the Lord has always stood by my side and made the way by sending me total strangers to support me.

To you who are especially acquainted with Miracle Valley when Brother Allen was here, will you stand with me with your donation? Please don't continue to stand on the sidelines. Sister Harter & I really do need your financial support.

God bless everyone of you,

Dr. Melvin Harter
