LEGAL MATTERS AT MIRACLE VALLEY December 27, 2008
Assisted Living
Greetings!

2007 was a blessed year for Miracle Valley. Why do we say that? It is because we have seen the hand of the Lord move for us time after time. Just as God has moved for us, He will move for you as well. Don't ever lose your faith because faith is what moves the hand of God.

From Me To You
Dr. Melvin Harter
Recently, I spoke with Rev. A. A. Allen's youngest son, Paul A. Allen and he informed me that he was not receiving the Miracle Valley Newsletters.  The only time he had received a newsletter was only when someone else forward it on to him.

I check our newsletter list and discovered that he was correct. His email address was not on the Miracle Valley Newsletter list. I have since emailed Paul and assured him that his name has been added to our email list.

If there are others who currently do not receive our Miracle Valley Newsletter, but would like to receive it, email your name and email address to us and we will immediately put you on our list. Or you can simpley click at the bottom of this newsletter where it is entitled, JOIN OUR MAILING LIST.

We only remove individuals who have requested their name to be removed from the list, or anyone who is in opposition to Miracle Valley and the work that God is doing here today.
Bible College
Possible Civil Lawsuit
truck Cochise County, Arizona has many wonderful individuals working in its county offices. Yet, there continues to be just a few, who for whatever reason have a dislike for Miracle Valley. However, these very few individuals are in positions of authority.

Since our arrival some years ago, Miracle Valley was denied its right to operate as a Bible College. We were informed that it had been more than 12 months had passed since the previous school (SABC) closed its doors, even though the campus was marked for sale as a Bible College.

There seemed to be nothing we could do. However, some of our staff members recently attended an official county meeting where it was brought to everyone's attention that several particular bars and taverns (whose situation is that of the Bible College) were granted "Grandfather Status" simply because they were marketed as bars.

We immediately expressed our concerns regarding the denial of the Bible College, only to be continually rejected. Remember, our denial is from just a very few individuals.

We are now preparing to file a civil lawsuit against Cochise County and the individuals who give permission for bars to continue their operation, yet all the while deny Miracle Valley of its Bible College.
Revivals
Arizona State Appeals Court
truck
Did you know that REVIVALS are listed as Public Events in Southeast Arizona and are restricted?

However, since this is "HORSE COUNTRY" there are no restrictions or permits required to have a horse show whether it involves one horse or a thousand.

But for a Christian Church to preach the gospel, lead people to Jesus Christ, and thereby become outstanding citizens of our community, various permits are required that will allow a Church to have a revival for a period of only 7 days, and then cannot reoccur for least 90 days.

According to one Federal Law, no government can give liberty for Horse Shows yet require Churches to obtain permits for Revivals.

Our case is currently before the State of Arizona Appeals Court. However, we must pay our attorney $3,500 immediately. We have raised $1,500 but we still lack $2,000.  If you can help us, we would certainly appreciate it very much.

For any government to become corrupt is for good men to do nothing. Everyone should have convictions and stand up for what they believe in.

You still don't believe it? Read it for yourself. The following is a copy of the actual memo that was sent from James Vlahovich, the Planning Director to Jody Klein, the County Administrator at the time.

cited for revival
There are many individuals who believe that Miracle Valley should accept all government rules and regulations. Of course, that is true as long as those regulations do not interfere with God's laws.  God has blessed us in America with the freedom of religion, speech, and freedom to vote our conscience. Not every law is proper, but there are definite avenues that can be taken to change our laws.

Back in the days of Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights of the 1960s, Rev. A. A. Allen preached against segregation, even though many Church denominations stood for it (including certain major Pentecostal denominations).

A. A. Allen did more to bring whites and blacks together than other evangelist of his day. Allen believed that whether you were red, yellow, black or white, we are all God's children.

Did he adhere to the law of his day? He had convictions based upon the Holy Bible and he permitted people of races and color to join together in his revival campaigns and even sing in his choirs.

A. A. Allen was a man of God who had convictions, based upon the Word of God, and he never one time backed down from them.

God looks for people today who will join the ranks of Daniel and the 3 Hebrew children. He needs some Davids to go against some Goliaths of our day. He wants Pauls and Peters who will not compromise His Word even though it may cost them their possessions.

Why don't you sell out to God and get your convictions based on the Word of God and maintain them.

Currently, we are adhering to the council of our attorney.

Sincerely,

Dr. Melvin Harter

GOD IS COUNTING ON EVERYONE OF US

We just received an email stating that the Assisted County Attorney contends that "both the grandfathering and revival issues at Miracle Valley are currently before the Court of Appeals."

Our understanding it that only the revival issue is the deciding factor for the appellate court.

Friends, we need your help, both your prayers and your financial support. The future of Miracle Valley is at stake.  God must move in this situation. If Miracle Valley is going to be effective in what God has called it to be, then we must have your help.

God is counting on you to do His will just as much as each of us count on Him everyday of our lives. An old song that my sister & I use to sing as a special entitled, "Paul's Testimony" at our local church went like this -

VERSE 1
The Lord said, Stand up, Paul, and dry up your tears.
You must preach My gospel for many long years.
You'll go to Damascus, the street that's called Straight.
And meet Ananias, and there you must wait.

VERSE 2
Three days have gone by, Lord, and yet I don't see.
But here stands my brother, a talking with me.
He says, "Brother Saul, the Lord in the sky,
Has sent me to heal you and open your eyes."

VERSE 3
I'll send you to Damascus; I'll send you to Rome.
And Paul you must suffer, till I call you home.
You'll sleep in the desert; You'll be wrecked out at sea.
But keep right on preaching this Gospel for Me.

CHORUS
I counted on Adam, I counted on Cain.
I counted on Jonah, But he was the same.
I counted on Judas, But he proved untrue.
Go tell the world, Paul, I'm counting on you.

Friends, God is counting on each of you.  Will you stand with us at Miracle Valley? God bless everyone of you.

We are still working to finalize a loan for Miracle Valley. We have several excellent possiblities in the making.  We ask that you keep us in prayer as we continue to press forward. God is not finished with Miracle Valley. He has a divine plan for this place.
