ROOF UP-DATE Tabernacle Roof
at Miracle Valley

Greetings!
2008

I appreciate each individual who has made a special contribution to the restoration of Miracle Valley.

I want to give you an up-date regarding the roof on the tabernacle.  The old roofing material had been removed.  For the past week or so, our workers have been cutting out the rotten wood and replacing it with good wood.

Our roofing material will arrive first thing tomorrow morning.  Most the roof covering the main auditorium (with the exception of the northern section where several main beams are broken) is ready for rolled roofing.

However, we still lack $3,500 and this $3,500 must be paid COD.  I really need your help.  Please stand with me in taking care of this cost.  Even if you don't have very much, pray about giving something right now to Miracle Valley so we can have the $3,500 to pay tomorrow.  I really need you to call me and perhaps put your donation on your credit card.

God bless you.

Our dear friend, Rev. David Herzog made a donation of $1,000 to help us purchase  roofing material for the Miracle Valley tabernacle.

The one thing that David Herzog shared was that everywhere he goes in revival services throughout the world; the Holy Spirit of God continues to speak and say that God is going to send a world-wide revival, and He is going to start it at MIRACLE VALLEY.
Bad Wood Removed

This photo shows where certain boards had to be removed from the tabernacle roof structure, and now they must be replaced with good material.

Some roofing boards must be removed. They are rotted due to the many years of water damaged.

Thank God this is Arizona.  Had these buildings been located in another part of the country, especially where they have the four seasons, these building would have been gone a long time ago.  But since they were located in Arizona, the dry climate of this region has actually preserved the buildings for many years.  However, even then, it is time the roofs were fixed properly.  Dr. Harter is taking every measure to insure that the new roof will last for many years to come.
Widow Donates to Miracle Valley
Widows Mite
A few days ago, a precious little widow woman from Texas overnighted a $1,000 check to Miracle Valley.

I learned that this precious little sister in the Lord traveled with her husband for 25 years, erecting gospel tents, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, and leading many people to Jesus Christ.

The Lord called her husband home to glory a few years ago.  However, she refused to quit and sit down, but kept her faith strong in the Lord. This little widow lady took the pastorate of their local church and continued to preach the gospel.

She is asking God to help her construct a 36' by 36' church building on their land.  Her $1,000 donation for the roof on Miracle Valley tabernacle is her seed money.

Is God going to bless this little widow lady and enable her to build a church?  Most definitely YES. My heart was greatly touched by this little sister's sacrificial donation.

I felt the presence of the Lord when I realized the sacrifice this widow woman made.  Tears came into my eyes, and I have asked God to pour His blessings out upon her.

Until she can get her church built, she and her congregation meet under a gospel tent that has been up for several years now.

I spoke with this dear sister on the telephone and inform her of my sincerest appreciation for her sacrifice.  I also told her that I use to be a tent evangelist, and if you know anything about tent evangelists, you can't get it out of their blood.

I told this dear sister in the Lord that at the first opportunity, Sister Harter and I will plan to preach to her congregation under their tent.  I can tell you right now that I love preaching and telling people about Jesus Christ in gospel tents.
New Wood Put On Tabernacle Roof
 2008
Rev. Danny Phelps of Tullahoma, TN informed us that he wanted to come to Miracle Valley and contribute six months of his time to its restoration.  He is seen in this photo measuring, cutting various boards and then installing the boards onto the roof.

Brother Phelps, along with four other men, is working quickly to get the roof of the tabernacle prepared for the new roofing material that is due to arrive.

If you live close enough to Miracle Valley and would like to donate some of your time, we would greatly appreciate it.  This is a big roof. According to some of the books written by Rev. A. A. Allen, this building will accommodate 4,000 people.
Replacing the Wood

Chris DoveChris Dove of Pensacola, Florida felt the Lord wanted him to come and help replace the roof on the tabernacle.  He arrived a couple of weeks ago and has been working since. He is seen here replacing the bad wood with good wood.

Brother Dove is also a professional painter.  If it is the Lord's will, he plans to help with the repainting of the large tabernacle Church at Miracle Valley as well.

Brother Dove's wife, Michelle works in the cafeteria and helps prepare three meals each day for the workers.  They have two children.
Danny Phelps Preaching at Miracle Valley
 Danny Phelps Preaching
Danny, along with his precious mother and his siblings, rode on a bus in 1966 from their home in Tennessee to Bisbee, Arizona so they could be at A. A. Allen's Camp Meeting in Miracle Valley.

Danny remembered those days, and when he heard what Dr. Harter was doing at Miracle Valley, he wanted to do his part to help in its restoration.

However, he had a lot of pain in his stomach and did not know what to do.  He prayed, "Lord, if you want me to go to Miracle Valley, then you will have to heal me."

Danny testifies that the Lord spoke to him and said, "The moment you step on the Miracle Valley property, I WILL HEAL YOU!"

Just exactly as the Lord had said, when Danny recently drove onto the Miracle Valley property, GOD INSTANTLY HEALED HIM.  Friends, God is still in the healing and miracle business.

Danny made a commitment to work at Miracle Valley for six months.  His six months is now up and he now plans to evangelize and conduct revival services in various local churches.  Danny and his wife will leave Miracle Valley early Saturday morning.

We appreciate everything that he and his wife have done to improve Miracle Valley.  If you would like to have Rev. Danny Phelps to preach at your local church, call the Office at Miracle Valley (520) 366-1000.
Roberto is busy working on the Roof
 Roberto Jr
This is Roberto. He was born in Douglas, Arizona. He and his brother, Ishmael, work at various tasks such as installing insulation, hanging sheetrock, cutting grass, or whatever else needs to be done at Miracle Valley.

Roberto is now working on the tabernacle roof, doing his best to see that it is put "in the dry."  He will soon be involved in putting the new 30 # felt paper and roll roofing on the tabernacle.  Anyone who knows anything about this type of work will certainly realize that this is very hard work, especially when a person is working in the heat of the day in Arizona.
Dr. Robinson Works on Roof
 DFR
Dr. Dennis Robinson, Dean of Miracle Valley Bible College, works on the roof along with everyone else.

"Boy, I don't ever recall in college or seminary where they offered a class on putting roofs on church buildings!

"Nevertheless, this work must be done, and everyone plays an important part of seeing that a new roof is installed, including me.

"We need more help.  We are in the monsoon season and the rains are here.  We must at least put felt paper and roll roofing on this roof until we are able to close on our loan and then have metal roofing material put on it.

"I have preached in this building many times over the past seven years that I have been at Miracle Valley and it breaks my heart to see the vast amounts of water that comes through this roof.

"Most of you know that a new roof is overdue on this building.  We must preserve and save this building before it is too late.  Please help us financially in acquiring the roofing materials that we so desperately need.  God bless you!"
Friends, I am constantly asked, "Who is backing you in your endeavor to restore Miracle Valley?"  I continue to tell everyone that I have no organization backing our efforts.  I ONLY HAVE GOD AND YOU.

We received $7,000 in donations toward the roof material of the tabernacle building. These donations enabled me to pay one-half down on the roll roofing material and 30# felt paper that must be put on the roof of the tabernacle.  That amount was $3,500.

$7,000 of material is scheduled to depart from Sierra Vista at 8:15 tomorrow morning.  I am required to pay the final $3,500 when the material is delivered, which is in the morning.

Some one may ask, "What happened to the other $3,500 Miracle Valley received in donations?"  I am glad you asked because you should know.

In addition to the roofing material that is to go on the roof of the auditorium's main sanctuary, we must also put roofing material on the lobby section of the church.  Previously, a roofing contractor quoted I believe $6,800 to install a torch-down roof.

However, at the Sierra Vista Builders Supply Store, a Mrs. Julie informed me of some very special material that will take care of the flat roof on the lobby.  I purchased $2,000 worth of this material, and then I paid our five workers a total of $1,500 for their two weeks of work.  So this is where the donations were applied.

Now I simply need $3,500 immediately.  Many of you may be able to donate $10, or $100 or even perhaps $1,000 to help Miracle Valley.  Your entire donation goes directly into Miracle Valley. Together, we can all be a part of what God wants to do in this place.

Will you stand by me?  Like Moses of old, I need others to help hold my arms up.  I can't do it myself.  I know that just as God spoke to me, God is speaking to others to make a donation to His work at Miracle Valley.

Help me take care of this special need right now. If you have the financial means, please telephone me right now by dialing (520) 366-1000 with your financial support. Remember, we accept credit cards as well.

However, if you are unable to put anything on your credit card, and you have no money in your checking account, WILL YOU REMEMBER ME IN YOUR PRAYERS?

May God richly bless each of you is my prayer,

Dr. Melvin Harter
