Greetings! Sister Harter & I have traveled for the last 2 months, preaching and promoting Miracle Valley. We traveled through 10 states as well as into Canada, telling others about Jesus Christ and working to recruit Bible College students. God has blessed our efforts. Everywhere we went, people were hungry for God. The Holy Ghost moved upon the congregations as the people responded to the gospel of Jesus Christ and filled the altars in every service. Some today contend that “old-time Pentecostal services” are a thing of the past, but not so. God is moving; people are being delivered, set free, healed and saved. I have received numerous invitations to preach and conduct revivals in various churches. While returning to Miracle Valley, Sister Harter & I visited with some Miracle Valley Alumni in Tyler, Texas. Tim and Grace Lundmark, a couple who spent many years in Miracle Valley working with the Rev. A. A. Allen, were most gracious and kind to us. While visiting in Tyler, we were privileged to meet with various other alumni as well. The Lundmarks hope to come to Miracle Valley sometime soon and help me in some of the work that is required here. May God richly bless them. Returning to Miracle Valley, Rev. James Walls and his wife came by for a short visit. I encouraged them to move back to Miracle Valley. Brother Walls sang, and my how he could sing. He literally blessed us and lifted us up to higher heights. We have been most blessed to meet many people who attended school or worked at Miracle Valley. We met Joe Hilliard in Virginia a few years ago and Joe said he is even considering moving back to Miracle Valley. ![]() Dr. Melvin Harter & his wife Roberta visting the Bible College they attended 37 years ago
![]() "And this Bible that I hold in my hands is for all people, including the white man and the black man as well." - Dr. Harter "The ground is level at Calvary. We will all stand and give account to God as to whether we have lived according to this book or not." - Dr. Harter Dr. Melvin Harter is seen here preaching under a gospel tent, telling the people that Jesus Christ is their answer. Dr. Harter is a Pentecostal preacher who believes in the Word of God. He stresses that a person must be "Born Again." Being "Born Again" does not necessarily mean that a person is "Born Again" just because he has repeated after someone else a special prayer for salvation. Instead, a person must humble himself before God Almighty and ask God for forgiveness of his sins. A person continues to pray this type of a prayer until he knows that his sins have been forgiven and he has truly been "Born Again." Once a person is genuinely saved, he needs to ask God to sanctify him and then baptize him with the Holy Ghost as they were according to Acts 2:1(f). ![]()
![]() Personal Message from Dr. Harter – Friends, my heart is very heavy when I look at the tabernacle here at Miracle Valley. It is not just an ordinary building. In fact, it is a very special building indeed. I recall watching a television program originating from Nashville, TN. The host of the program was speaking of Miracle Valley, and what he mentioned most was the Miracle Valley Tabernacle. He wanted to know if it was still here. Well, yes, it is still here, but if something is not done soon, the old tabernacle will soon be gone. I feel compelled by the Holy Spirit that we must do something now. The old tabernacle must be remodeled and up-dated immediately. The most pressing need is for a new metal roof to be put on the building. Due to the continual build-up of the roof with additional shingles and roof material, and due to the water damage that has occurred over the many years, many of the beams are bowed in the middle. The fake wall that Allen constructed on the roof had to be removed. During its removal, a Bible College student accidentally caused a large section of the wall to fall, thus breaking about 6 of the main beams. We have informed our insurance company of this accident, and we are presently waiting to get a contractor to give us an estimate for its repair. So far, no local contractor has come to do so. When a person thinks of this tabernacle, it literally amazes one to comprehend exactly what God has done in this building. One man testified that he literally saw in that tabernacle arms grow out on a man’s body that had no arms. On Day Star Television Network, a program was presented entitled, “The Legendary A. A. Allen” and on the program, a man testified that a woman was brought into that tabernacle who wanted God to give her the ability to see. It was truly an amazing miracle because God allowed her to see. The amazing thing that was testified over the television network was simply the fact that this particular woman had absolutely no eye balls in her head. The man stated that he saw God create eye balls in the woman’s head and then enabled her to see. We have seen some strange phenomenon in the tabernacle. One person prophesied and stated, “When My tabernacle is restored, I will restore My glory.” Some time ago, Urbane Leiendecker, the man who gave his ranch to Allen, came by for a visit. He informed us that he had a vision, and in his vision, he and Allen were walking around the Bible College just as it looks today. He states that Allen pointed to each of the buildings and stated, “Now is the time. I want these buildings refurbished.” He pointed to the old tabernacle and said, “I want this building restored.” Now I do not know everything, but I do know that God wants His house restored. I dare say that there is a special place in the tabernacle that has seen more devils cast out, a place where more healings and miracles have occurred than any other one place in the entire world. Recently, a guest walked into the tabernacle and she began to cry and wipe the tears away that flowed down her face. It wasn’t because the place is in such shambles and disrepair; rather, those tears flowed because she could did sense the divine presence of Almighty God in that building. A lady came from Pittsburg and as she stepped into the tabernacle, she immediately fell to the floor. She stated later that the power of God was so strong that it literally knocked her down. All I know is that God has spoken to my heart that it is now time that we must up-date the tabernacle. I can’t do it myself. I desperately need your help. I need electricians, plumbers, furnace men, contractors, roofers, and many others. I need finances and money. I can promise you that just as we have worked diligently on the various buildings at Miracle Valley, I will do everything in my power to restore the tabernacle. I know there are many people who stand off to the side, wondering if we are going to do some awful of selling Miracle Valley and running off with the people’s money. As long as people doubt and stand on the sideline, they are no help in the work of God at Miracle Valley. God spoke to me while in my prayer closet. I have been given a divine mandate from God, and I am doing my very best to fulfill what God has called me to do. Yes, we have been offered a considerable amount of money to sell them Miracle Valley; however, God did not tell me to sell Miracle Valley. He told me to build a Bible College. Until the Lord tells me different, I continue on the course that I have been assigned to accomplish. There is absolutely no way that I can do anything without your prayers and financial support. I thank God for giving us miracle after miracle and sustaining us as we have labored at Miracle Valley. But the battle is not over yet. There is still much to do, and I need your immediate help. Currently, pay checks have been given out to some of our construction workers and all the paychecks are not covered. We are not paying great sums of money; nevertheless, if we do not have the funds, any amount would be too much. I know that God is speaking to some of you right now. There are some people who have nothing to give, but would if they could. I need you to pray for us. However, there are others whom the Lord has blessed financially, and they are able to financially stand with us. I am sure someone, somewhere, is asking the Lord to show them exactly where to give their financial gift. I am asking the Lord to speak to them right now in the name of Jesus and place Miracle Valley upon their hearts. May God richly bless you. I am looking to hearing from you very soon. Remember, I need your help right now. ![]()
![]() In order to build up, many times a person has to first tear down. Shown here is a picture of the lobby in the tabernacle. All of the drywall and ceiling tile has now been removed. Dr. Harter steps out in faith, believing God to send the necessary funds to pay the workers whom he hired to help with the remodeling of Miracle Valley. If you cannot come, would you prayerfully consider a financial gift to help Dr. Harter restore Miracle Valley? ![]()
![]() Special thanks are given to Jim, the owner of Jim’s Pay & Save in Circleville, Ohio for his wonderful contribution to Miracle Valley. Jim has served the Lord for many years, traveling to the various continents and sharing Christ with the heathen. Even though he is now up in years and somewhat in poor health, he has a sincere and dedicated heart for World Missions. Upon learning of Miracle Valley and what God had called the Harters to do there, he sold the Harters 6 new furnaces at his wholesale cost, and designated one furnace to be installed in the Administration Building and the remaining 5 furnaces to be placed in the tabernacle. What a blessing! These furnaces are the largest ones built today on the market and will be sufficient to meet the needs of the soon-to-be remodeled church/tabernacle. The Harters took monies received in church offerings in order to purchase these furnaces. The cost being nearly $6,000, which includes shipping. If you feel that you would like to be a part of what God is doing and make a financial contribution to Miracle Valley, please call Sister Harter's office at (520) 366-5559. For the past 4 years, the furnace has not operated in the Administration Building. Everyone had to resort to small electrical heaters to keep warm, thus making it most difficult to do office work. Now, God is making the way so perhaps we will be able to get the furnace installed soon so there will no longer be a need for the small electrical heaters to be used. ![]()
![]() After a considerable time, lots of money and hard work by many volunteers and other workers, the Miracle Valley Childcare Center will soon be completed. Some years ago, Dr. Harter was inquiring to the Lord about how God wanted to generate the finances to make Miracle Valley successful again. God spoke to Dr. Harter and reminded him of a church he built some years ago. With very little money, a lovely church facility was constructed. Yes, it required a lot of hard work and a persistent attitude that would not quit; however, not only was a lovely octagon church facility constructed that seated 500 people on the main floor and 250 in the 5- sided balcony, but God also gave the increase in church attendance and membership. During one cold, snowing evening, some 676 filled the vast sanctuary with the praises of God. How was this done? God showed the Harters that it could be accomplished through the means of a childcare center. While in the Prayer Tower at Miracle Valley, having realized that God raised the necessary funds required for Miracle Valley at that time through the means of freewill offerings received in the vast A. A. Allen Tent Revivals, Dr. Harter asked the Lord how Miracle Valley was to be financed today. That was the precise moment when God reminded Dr. Harter of what He had done for him in the past. God revealed that it can be accomplished again, thus allowing Miracle Valley to generate its own revenue to sustain itself. In addition, what a ministry! Reaching out into the local community and sharing Jesus Christ with Preschool children, including their parents and extended families as well. Well, it is all beginning to come to pass. We are almost there. The building has been totally remodeled – new electrical wiring; new insulation, new drywall, new carpet, new doors, new light fixtures, new metal roof, brand new restroom facilities and many other upgrades as well. We are so happy that you have responded and helped us make this dream come into reality. All that remains to do is to purchase and install a playground fence and purchase additional play equipment for the children. Praise God! ![]()
![]() The old swamp coolers are removed from the Assisted Living Home. Roofers have already started putting a brand new metal roof on the Assisted Living building. This will prevent any rain from ever coming into the building again, at least in our generation. Putting a new metal roof on this building will not only prevent water from coming into the building, but it will also beautify this facility. The Miracle Valley Assisted Living Home was initially constructed by Rev. A. A. Allen as a church building. (1958) A few years later, the church building was converted into a library and classrooms and utilized by what was then known as the Miracle Valley Training Center, a ministerial school founded by Rev. A. A. Allen. (1960) Some years later, Allen had the building totally remodeled. Various walls were constructed resulting in the formation of 13 bedrooms and 3 full size bathrooms. (1965) Allen constructed a Faith House, which was a common practice among Christians in the United States during the 19th Century. Allen named his building the "Pool of Bethesda." From all over the nation, sick and diseased people came to the Pool of Bethesda to receive prayer and get their miracle from God. Faith was taught to the residents by Sister Jennie Evans, a licensed Church of God (Cleveland, TN) lady evangelist whose family roots go back to the great revival at Azusa Street. (1965-1970) There remains documentation to this day regarding the many testimonies of miracles received by those people who came to Allen's "Pool of Bethesda." Rev. A. A. Allen died in June 1970. Kent Rogers became the new president of the A. A. Allen Revivals, Inc.; however, Don Stewart (serving as Secretary of the Executive Board at the time) soon became its President. Don Stewart leased and then later sold the Miracle Valley campus, including the Pool of Bethesda to the Hispanic Assemblies of God. They renamed the school "Southern Arizona Bible College" and then continued for 20 years training students for ministry. (1976-1995) During this time, several apartments were constructed in Allen's "Pool of Bethesda." The rest of the facility was turned into a motel for guests and visitors and renamed "Bethany Lodge." In August 1999, Melvin Harter Ministries purchased the campus. Through prayer, Dr. Harter was directed by the Lord to remodel and convert SABC’s "Bethany Lodge" into an Assisted Living Home. The building was upgraded with new wiring, insulation, bathroom facilities, etc. as it was being put back to how it appeared when it was Allen's "Pool of Bethesda." Hiring contractors to do the work requires additional funds which Dr. Harter does not have. Every day is a day of faith, believing God to meet the needs of Miracle Valley. We ask that you prayerfully consider making a financial contribution for the restoration of Miracle Valley so it will once again be an institution that will train and send ministers into the field that is white unto harvest. ![]()
![]() God spoke to Rev. Simmons (age 70) and his wife Debbie to leave their home in Tennessee and relocate to Miracle Valley, Arizona and help Dr. Harter build the Bible College. Like Moses of old, Brother & Sister Simmons obeyed the voice of the Lord, left their family and friends behind and ventured to go where God called them. While sitting in Dr. Harter's evening class where a video of Rev. A. A. Allen was being viewed, Rev. Simmons was instantly healed of deafness in his left ear by the power of God by just watching the Allen video at Miracle Valley Bible College & Seminary. Without even asking God for his healing, or even giving it any consideration whatsoever, God just instantly healed Rev. Simmons while he was viewing the film with the other students. Pictured above is Rev. Simmons holding his hearing aid in his hand with a smile on his face. He is happy that the Lord has performed this miracle for him. Sister Simmons is a Licensed Practical Nurse and is now serving as Manager of the Miracle Valley Assisted Living Home. ![]()
