  • Greetings!

It was in 1999 that the Lord enabled Dr. Harter to obtain Miracle Valley. Since that time, much work, sacrifice, time and money has gone into Miracle Valley. It has been a tremendous sacrifice for the Harters to be at Miracle Valley, however, the Lord has always stood by their side and made the way. There are many stories that the Harters can share regarding how the Lord has performed the miraculous on this property.

Nevertheless, there are those individuals who are nothing more than prophets of doom. They declare Miracle Valley is dead and that nothing will ever occur here again. But don't pay any attention to them. Dr. Harter is still at Miracle Valley. He is still believing God and does not plan to leave until the Lord releases him from the call to Miracle Valley.

I want to put your name on this building
    Bronze Marker

Dr. Harter wants to put your name on this building at Miracle Valley. Visitors and residents will be able to see your name on the front of the building.

A beautiful bronze marker is going to be placed on the front of the Day Care building. It will be somewhat like the bronze marker in this picture.

For the individuals who will stand with Dr. Harter, and who make a donation of just $1,000 toward this building that is being remodeled, will have their name placed on a bronze marker that will be attached to the front of the building.

    Old Roof Coming Off
    dc roof2

The old roofing material must be removed. The picture above shows the existing roof being presently removed.

The buildings at Miracle Valley must be remodeled immediately. Failure to act immediately will result in the total destruction of these buildings.

These are historical buildings that were constructed by A. A. Allen, between 38 to 48 years ago. The engineers state that each building is still structurely sound. However, they must be brought up-to-date.

Existing swamp coolers are being removed and new air-conditioning is being installed. This will prevent leaks in the roof from ever occurring again.

    Metal Roofing being installed
    dc roof3

These buildings need new metal roofs. There has been enough patching here and there over the years. Now is the time to strip off the old shingles and install a new metal roof that will last for many years.

A new metal roof is being put on this building. The old roof is being stripped, new felt paper is being put on. Since the roof has been up there for many years and deteriorated, metal runners must be screwed onto the existing roofing structure. New metal panels are then screwed onto the metal runners.

Inside of the building is nearly ready for drywall

Every building will be well insulated so utility costs will be low.

The above picture reveals that interior two by four walls are installed. Two by twos are screwed to the beams in the ceiling. Even though there are yet electrical needs in this building, electrical wire has been ran through the walls and the ceiling.

Insulation (R19) is already installed along the exterior walls. Every dollar is stretched at Miracle Valley. Thank the Lord, we had purchased insulation (R19) last year when insulation was on sale and someone made a financial donation.

A much thicker insulation (R30) is required for the ceiling. However, we do not presently have the necessary funds to purchase the R30 insulation at the moment, but God will send us the funds to obtain this needed insulation because He is a God that cannot lie.

    It rains at Miracle Valley
    rain

Believe it or not, it rains in the desert.

It rains in the fall and winter months, but especially during the summer.

What local people call the "monsoons" usually starts July 5. It is called "monsoons" because of a tremendous amount of rain that falls. It usually continues throughout July and August and into September.

This is what most of the roofs look like
    dc roof bad

Although this is a picture of the roof at what was known as Allen's Sunday School building, Southern Arizona Bible College's Chapel, and Dr. Harter's childcare center, the Boys Dormitory is just like this roof.

Rolled roofing was put on many of the buildings. Due to the Arizona hot sun that shines most of the year, rolled roofing may last 3 years, if that. After that, the roofs look exactly like the one in the above picture.

If we are to save these buildings at Miracle Valley, new metal roofs are required. Beside lasting for many years to come, metal roofs add to the beauty of a building.

    Name on wood

For the individuals who can donate $1,000 toward the remodeling of this building, your name will be inscribed onto the bronze plaque that will be attached to the front of the building for all to see and read.

Throughout the entire campus, various individuals have inscribed their names on concrete sidewalk, some going back as far as 1958. Others have written their name on a two by four in many of the walls of the various buildings. It is a blessing to see these things today, no doubt written by individuals who are no longer alive.

What a lasting memorial to give. Generations to come will read your name and know that you helped to remodel and restore Miracle Valley.

    Harters need your help
    Bro & Sis Harter

However, Brother & Sister Harter need your cooperation and help. They cannot do it by themselves.

Just as God called Dr. Harter to go to Miracle Valley and build the Bible College, God calls other people to stand alongside of Dr. Harter with their financial support and labor.

A Personal Message from Dr. Harter
    Harters in Cafe

Friends, we literally live by faith at Miracle Valley. If God does not stand by our side each day, we cannot make it. Some people think they live by faith, but they really don't. If you think you would like to try living by faith, then come to Miracle Valley. You will learn the faithwalk because we really do live by faith.

Speaking from my heart, we need your financial help. We have three Christian men who work 40 hours per week on the buildings. We pay them each about $8.00 per hour. That really isn't bad for good workers who are carpenters, etc. They have to financially support their families. Although they can make better wages elsewhere, they are willing to work for this hourly wage at Miracle Valley.

Tomorrow these men are due their wages. They receive a weekly paycheck. We have absolutely no funds in the bank. In addition, we need funds to pay the wages of the other workers, who get paid every two weeks, but again, we have nothing. After prayer, I felt the Lord would have me send this email. There is someone who can help us financially.

We need drywall, additional felt paper for the roof, an electrical panel, and insulation for the ceiling, just to name a few items. Your donation of $1,000 will help us complete the remodeling of the buildings. In return, we will place your name on a lovely bronze plaque that will be attached to the outside wall of the building.

We are trying to refinance a loan, but nothing has materialized yet. There are those who speak against us and say I want to fill my own pockets. But you will discover that those individuals have never done anything for God and try to prevent someone else who does want to do something. Don't believe a word from them. If I had wanted to make money, I could have sold Miracle Valley out and drove away with several million dollars in my pocket. However, I still believe God will make a way for me.

Our most desperate need right now is $5,000 which is needed for the wages of the workers. Anything you can do financially to help us is greatly appreciated. If you can, please call Sister Harter at (520) 366-5559 or myself at (520) 366-1000 right now. We can put your donation on a credit card or you can wire your funds directly into Miracle Valley's bank account. We would be so appreciative in whatever you can do to help us. God bless everyone of you. - Dr. Melvin Harter
