We always enjoy having visitors here at Miracle Valley, Arizona. Remember, our FALL CAMP MEETING at MIRACLE VALLEY is scheduled for November 7-14. Three services a day M-F. Come expecting to receive a miracle. Holy Ghost preaching and anointed gospel singing each day as well. Be sure to get your NOVEMBER ISSUE of CHARISMA MAGAZINE and read what God is doing at Miracle Valley.
Dear Friends, Sister Harter & I have at Miracle Valley since 1999. One year later, God greatly blessed us at Miracle Valley by sending Dr. Dennis Robinson from Alabama to work with us. Together, with various others whom the Lord had sent as well, we have accomplished much at Miracle Valley. Many of you are acquainted with the fact that we have had differences with the previous owners of Miracle Valley, particularly as the differences related to our signed "Purchase Agreement." However, last May our differences were resolved in a special "Settlement Agreement." Sister Harter, myself, and others at Miracle Valley prayed and fasted, asking the Lord to help us in every decision we were to make at this special meeting. We asked the Lord to help resolve our differences and to give us total peace about the decision. We made the decision to pay $645,000 to the previous owners of Miracle Valley by March 31, 2005. Our attorney advise us against this decision due to the limited time frame, but I spoke to Sister Harter and said, "I feel the peace of God about this matter." She felt the same way. Now, we have already signed an agreement that if we fail in our endeavor, we relinquish any and all claims that we may have to Miracle Valley. All of our work and all of our finances, including many of you who have financially supported Miracle Valley with us, will be lost. However, the Central Latin American District Council of the Assemblies of God have also signed a transfer of the Miracle Valley deed to us. Both agreements are with a Title Company in Tucson. If we get our funds to the title company, they will give us the deed to Miracle Valley. If we fail, then CLAD will receive Miracle Valley back into their possession. I know the Lord spoke to me to go to Miracle Valley and build the Bible College. He has always made a way for us here at Miracle Valley and I know that He will continue to do so in the future as I trust in Him.
After going to the Lord in prayer, I believe this to be the will of God. I am asking the Lord for 645 people to make a donation of $1,000 to help us pay this balloon payment for Miracle Valley. For everyone who is able to make a donation of $1,000, we will place your name, or the name of your loved one, on a gold leaf that is on a special tree, which is on the wall in the lobby of the Administration Office building. In the years to come, people will see your name listed as one of the special individuals who helped us purchase Miracle Valley. Now in order to maintain our integrity with you, we have established a special "Purchase Miracle Valley Fund" at the Wells Fargo Bank in Sierra Vista, Arizona. All donations for the purchase of Miracle Valley is put into this bank account with special instructions. The instructions are very simple, if we fail in our attempt to purchase Miracle Valley by March 31, 2005, all donated monies in this account will be returned to the doner with its accummulated interest. Already we have various individuals who are standing with us in this endeavor. We appreciate these persons so very much. They have up-most confidence in what we are doing and they want to be a part of the great move of God that is happening at Miracle Valley right now. However, we need others to stand with us. Can we count on you for your financial support? If necessary, your $1,000 donation can be paid in monthly installments of whatever amount you are comfortable with. Call or write today with your love gift for Miracle Valley.
Last August, the local newspaper in Sierra Vista ran a 2-page ad regarding Miracle Valley. A picture of Miracle Valley was on the Religious Page that covered nearly 1/2 of the entire page. The editor placed in large bold letters across the top of the page "WORKING ON A MIRACLE." We are still working on that miracle. Currently, we are applying for a loan for Miracle Valley. There are several lenders who have expressed an interest in making a loan to Miracle Valley. We believe this loan will allow us to do 3 things:
Can you imagine beautiful metal roofs on all the buildings? Asphalt paving throughout the campus? The tabernacle completely remodeled? Its lobby resembling that of a modern hotel lobby with indirect lighting, modern couches and chairs, carpet and tile, and a lovely water fountain? A large portrait of Brother & Sister Allen placed on the wall? The sanctuary being used to record professional and quality recordings as well? It can all happen and will if we continue to work hard and believe God with all our hearts. When students come to Miracle Valley Bible College to be taught and trained in the Word of God, they not have to be in a run-down facility, but a campus that is thriving once again, "an oasis in the desert."
I viewed a program on television a few years ago entitled, "Country Gospel" originating from Nashville, TN. Something caught my attention. They were talking about the tabernacle at Miracle Valley. Truly amazing, is it not? People still talking about the Miracle Valley Tabernacle. The tabernacle was contructed in 1961. The fake walls on top of the roof give the tabernacle a Spanish Mission appearance. These vast walls were contructed in 1965. (Bob LeDoux, T.J. Howland, and Ray Atchinson in above picture) The large lobby and prayer tower comprising of steel beams in the front of the original tabernacle were constructed in 1968. Due to the lack of funds by Miracle Valley's predessors, the tabernacle has had very little maintenance. And due to the vastness of its size, it requires a lot of money for just maintenance on this building. Currently, it's condition is one of the worse buildings on campus. This is such a shame, especially when you realize this is the house of God and that many miracles, signs and wonders occurred in this facility. I felt one day that I should remove all of the interior walls that had been constructed over the past years. I located a sledge hammer and then proceeded to knock holes in the partitions. Later, our staff, students, and special friends from Sierra Vista joined in and the walls were totally removed. Today the tabernacle is open like it was in the time of Rev. A. A. Allen. We want to restore the tabernacle to its original appearance, however, it must be modernize so it meet current needs today. The first item of business is a new metal roof on the tabernacle. The roof above the Prayer Tower must be replaced as well. Bob LeDoux from Columbus, Ohio has been in charge of removing the roofing material. Our dear friends, Peter Contreras and his church representatives from Blue Island, Illinois have also helped us in the removal of the shingles and roofing material. We have filled nearly 7 large containers comprising of 40 cubic yards of roofing material.
To those who are acquainted with Miracle Valley, you will remember the fake walls that are on top of the tabernacle roof. Although the taberacle was constructed in 1961, these walls were built 4 years later and added to the looks of the building. The walls have now stood there for nearly 50 years. However, now as we prepare for new metal roofing material to be installed, we have to give consideration to whether or not these walls remain in place. Our architect has advised us to remove these walls. We would prefer to keep them in place, however, in order to stop water leaks in the ceiling, and keep our costs down, we should remove the fake walls. We plan to make a decision on the removal of the fake walls in the very near future. We would like to have your feedback if possible.
