Greetings!
|
Are you one of those golfers who's always looking over your shoulder, worried that you're playing too slowly? Or are you one of those golfers who is convinced that it is everyone in front of you who needs to play faster? Pace of play is a hot topic on the PGA and, especially, LPGA tours -- and maybe it should be at our golf courses too. Take this month's two-question poll first, and then read some of GottaGoGolf's stories and opinions on how to achieve the most enjoyment in the least time.

Guidance from Gail
| We all have our favorite ball markers. Maybe they sparkle in the sunshine or bring back memories of a special outing. But they all require proper handling within the Rules of Golf, and Gail Rogers explains. Read the whole story. |

How's Your Fashion Sense?
| Last month, we asked the question, and 90 percent of you said that you're wearing your golf shirt tucked in these days.
We couldn't find any correlation between age and the inny-outty decision, but we did enjoy your comments. Here's a sample:
(out) Style has turned sloppy, doesn't take much effort to look good anymore. So much for the saying "If you can't play good, at least look good."
(in) However sometimes a little weight gain makes it impossible to tuck it in.
(out) It's cooler (temperature-wise) with the shirt out. Even when I've tried starting out with my shirt tucked in, it's not long before I heat up and pull it out! :)
(out) Ladies shirts are usually too short to tuck in, if you want it to stay tucked.
(out) I'm 80 and it's more comfortable out.
(out) Too much belly!
(out) Now that the pant styles are lower on the hips, definitely shirt out.
(out) I try my best not to look like my husband.
(out) It's already reaching the 90s in Florida; sleeveless, shirt out, and a skirt are the coolest things I've found. I guess I'd be cooler if I didn't have to swing so often, but I'm still working on that!
Of course, our survey didn't consider this answer, so a reader wrote it in: Both ways actually. Love belts!!
And, our favorite GottaGoGolf answer: I wear my shirt how it is most comfortable. I'm supposed to be enjoying myself. (She's an outty!)

If the Shirt Fits...
| With every exciting new golf apparel collection that enters this fast-booming market for women and ladies comes the eternal female fashion question: How will it fit? GottaGoGolf noticed the way men can walk into the shop, pull a shirt off the rack and head for the register. Women don't do that! They head for the dressing room! So we compiled a guide to shirt fit styles among the top labels, including AUR, shown at left. Whose customer are you, anyway? We'd like to hear from you, and there's plenty of room for comment at the bottom of this story. Read it here. And check out the slideshow too. |

Get a Grip with Equipment Editor Emily Kay
|
While most women may not need to switch grips as often as an LPGA Tour pro does, it's recommended that a woman replace grips after about 40 rounds. But, do you? Chances are it's a part of your equipment you tend to neglect.Read Emily Kay's story and maybe you'll hightail it to the local pro shop for new grips! And don't miss her account of DIY grip replacement!
Coming soon: Emily investigates why men have taken to the belly putter and women haven't. Her findings might surprise you at first, but on second thought... |

Let's Go to the Video
|
 | | She Beats It |
In only her second year on the LPGA Tour, Tiffany Joh has amassed some unmatched credentials: Nobody else on tour has a YouTube video library to rival hers! With a degree in communications from UCLA, San Diego's Joh devoted her rookie year to telling the story of women's pro golf in a sort of gangsta rap that's funny rather than profane. Here's one called "She Beats It" that pays homage to the big hitters of the LPGA. You go girl!
