Compliance Update
Verification Review: Compliance and IEP Implementation File Review
The California Department of Education (CDE) has determined that SFUSD's Special Education Services require their assistance in ensuring compliance to state and federal law. A Verification Review is CDE's process for ensuring our services and practices are aligned with the law.
As reviewed in the previous article, there are three types of file reviews: Educational Benefit, Compliance, and IEP Implementation.
The file review process for Compliance and IEP Implementation are explained in more detail HERE.

FAQ
Question: Are we printing out each student's current IEP and placing a copy in their cumulative records file? Answer: Yes. Please file the most recent signed IEP in the student's cum file. This has been determined to be SFUSD's Best Practice in ensuring a student's needs are known and addressed. Please send any questions that you would like to see included in future "FAQ" sections to [email protected]. We will try to incorporate your questions in subsequent issues! |
