Arrest in Dilworth

On Friday, July 7th at approximately 10pm., Providence Division officers responded to a sexual assault call at 1621 Dilworth Rd E., St Patrick's Catholic Church, in the outdoor area.  Officers quickly located and arrested the suspect, Michael Wayne Adams.  The suspect and victim knew each other and this was not a random encounter.  Adams is in custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff and being held on a $50,000 secured bond.

 

Adams was arrested in February 2012 and charged with several counts of Indecent Exposure in the Dilworth area.  Adams pled guilty to those charges and served an active jail sentence.  He was released from the Mecklenburg County Jail on June 12th.
