East Blvd. Delays
2-3 weeks of pavement repair work begins today on East Blvd between Dilworth Rd West and Kenilworth Ave. The work includes removing failed sections of pavement, reconstructing the roadway sub-base, and replacing damaged sections of curb and gutter.
Following the repair work, the roadway will be repaved and the traffic lanes will be changed to provide one travel lane in each direction, plus a center lane for left turns, and bike lanes in both directions. Signal timing adjustments will also be made at Scott and at Kenilworth Ave.
For additional information regarding the project and proposed striping changes, please visit the department's website at http://cdotprojects.charlottenc.gov
