Integrative Mindfulness Header
August, 2012
Greetings!

Great news! Integrative Mindfulness will have a beautiful new home by the end of this month. Here's a pic:

See more photos of our new space here. Our upcoming MBSR classes will begin in the new location!  At the urging of several enthusiastic friends and graduates, I sought out and met Acupuncture Physician and Qigong teacher Walter Hayley, A.P., MAc, of  Dragon's Gate, Inc. Walter has created a beautiful contemplative practice space in Bonita Springs, and we'll be fortunate to hold our classes here, and to learn from his wealth of knowledge of Chinese medicine and ancient healing practices.

Therefore, as of August 30th, the new address and phone number for Integrative Mindfulness will be: 26721 Dublin Woods Circle #2, Bonita Springs, FL 34135 (239) 590-9485. Download directions here.

As I write this we're halfway through the Olympics. The word "meditation" has come up several times during the nightly broadcasts. Does meditation improve athletic performance? Here's one study that says "yes"

Thank you to graduates Jack Sauer and Gaye McCance for contributing to the recent News-Press Article
about Integrative Mindfulness, and to reporter Amy Sowder for doing such a great job on the piece.

Lots of new information in this newsletter! Please read it over and mark your calendar!

Please have a look and let me know what you think!

Acupuncture Physician, Practitioner & Teacher of Qigong and Meditation

I'm very excited to introduce you to Walter Hayley of Dragon's Gate, Inc. Walter is the owner of the healing and teaching center which will become the home of Integrative Mindfulness as well. One phrase which comes to mind when you meet Walter is this: "Less is more." You can feel the truth of this description as soon as you enter the serene space he has created in Bonita Springs where he practices the Chinese healing art of Acupuncture, and teaches the ancient Chinese practice of Qigong, which combines gentle movement, controlled breathing, and mindful awareness. The physical space, and the man himself, signify the spaciousness and peace we seek to cultivate in the mind and body through mindfulness.
