Dear Friends,
As 2011 comes to a close and we reflect on the past year, we are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support we have received. Through the generosity of our donors - caring, dedicated organizations and individuals like you - we have done some amazing things.
In September, we celebrated the opening of the Shane Victorino Nicetown Boys & Girls Club in Philadelphia. The newly renovated facility will offer a safe haven for youth between the ages of six and 19, living within a mile of the facility. In an area where more than 60% of households are led by a single parent and nearly 50% of the families live below the poverty line, the Club will serve more than 300 members daily.
Close to 200 children participated in our Flyin' Hawaiian All-Stars charity ticket program this season, where they received game tickets, concessions, t-shirts and met Shane on the field! Many of these kids would never have had the opportunity to attend a game, much less experience a day at the ballpark like this.
In Hawaii, we are proud to provide literacy programs, after-school tutoring, leadership training, vocational skills and other much-needed services for underserved youth. We are also giving teachers tools to better help struggling students in the classroom as well as giving parents access to health, nutrition, and education specialists.

But as much as we have accomplished, there is still so much more that needs to be done. As you consider your year-end giving, please consider making a gift to our Foundation. Any amount, no matter the size, will help us to continue our efforts.
Thank you for believing that we can all make a difference in the life of a child.
From our family to yours, Happy Holidays!
