Volunteer Participation - Board of Directors Consideration
|
As one of the largest Little League organizations in the state of CT (and certainly the biggest youth sports group in our town), our success in building programs, keeping our players engaged and improving our offerings/facilities depends heavily on the quantity and quality of volunteers. While we certainly appreciate all the parents that coach/manage our 900+ players, there are additional volunteer responsibilities that our league must staff each year.
We are looking for parents that would like to become more involved. Specifically, if you want to be considered as a potential member of our Board of Directors, please submit your "baseball resume" (i.e. a list of your past service to the league, whether that be coaching or volunteering) via email to Bill Poudrier. If you are interested in a board position, you should plan on attending our next Monthly Meeting, as we will elect this year's board during this session (details below).
If Board of Director participation seems a little daunting, we have many additional volunteer roles that must be filled each year. We urge all interested parents to attend our upcoming League Monthly Meeting, which will be held on Monday, October 3rd at 7:30 pm in the Team Room at Roger Ludlowe Middle School (689 Unquowa Road).
The reason our league has been able to thrive (in terms of player retention, overall growth of player enrollment and expansion of programs offered) can be traced directly to the efforts of our parent volunteers. Come on out and get involved!
