Evaluations for players aged 9-12 will end this weekend (March 12th-13th) at Fairfield Woods Middle School.  Below please find the schedule per age group:

  • 9-10 year olds will be evaluated from 9 am - 12 pm on March 12th.  Players will be evaluated on a first come, first served basis.
  • 11-12 year olds will be evaluated from 1 pm - 4 pm on March 12th.  Players will be evaluated on a first come, first served basis.
  • The morning of Sunday, March 13th from 9 am - 11:30 am will be the final evaluation opportunity for ALL players aged 9-12 years old
  • Returning Majors players (from the Spring 2010 season) do not have to attend evaluations
  • Players aged 5-8 years old do not have to attend evaluations
  • Regardless of whether or not a player is required to attend evaluations, all players should try to swing by Fairfield Woods during an evaluation session to pick up their pants for the Spring season.  Helmets that were ordered during the registration process will also be available.  Also, please bring your child's bat to evaluations/pants and helmet pick-up so that a FALL official can certify that each bat passes the newly created Little League guidelines (more information can be found on our website here).
  • As a reminder, if your child is a new player to Fairfield American Little League, we'll need to receive a copy of his/her birth certificate for our files.  This document can be submitted at evaluations/pants and helmet pick-up.

"Make Gould Great!" Update - FirstGiving
First Giving LogoAs our league continues to work on raising the funds necessary to finance our "Make Gould Great!" project (total refurbishment and repositioning of both Gould Manor fields including installation of grass infields), we'll be publishing our progress within upcoming newsletters and on the league website.  As an update on recent activity, corporate sponsors are actively being pursued, events such as "Talking Baseball with Karl Ravech" and our annual golf tournament are scheduled and a planned major raffle is in the works.

In addition, we're proud to announce our personal contribution option through FirstGiving, where individuals can help our cause in a number of ways.  First and foremost, you can click on this link and simply make a donation to the Gould Manor project (no amount is too small, as every dollar will help us reach our goal).  As a next step, please post our FirstGiving page information on your Facebook, Twitter and/or LinkedIn account(s) to get the word out amongst your friends.  Lastly, if you're feeling really ambitious, you can create your own FirstGiving page for Fairfield American Little League (very easy to do, as instructions can be found on our FirstGiving page) and set your own personal fundraising goal.

Again, our fundraising page can be accessed through this FirstGiving link.  Let's work together to "Make Gould Great!".
