Thanks to all our families that have jumped on the new website and registered for the Spring season!  Registration remains open until Friday, February 25th, but it would be great to have the majority of our players registered before that date.  As a reminder, our website can be found at

Speaking of registration, please note that with our move to a new web provider, it's necessary for all of our families to create a new account when registering for the Spring season.  Simply access our website, click on the "Registration" tab, read through the information on the page and click on the Fairfield American player at the bottom of the page.  You'll now be on the actual registration site, where you will select "create a new account".  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email us at fairfieldamerican@gmail.com.  

 

Lastly, please remember that if your child is new to our league, we'll need to receive a copy of his/her birth certificate for our files.  This information can either be sent as an email attachment to fairfieldamerican@gmail.com, as a hard copy to our PO Box (which can be found on our website here) or you can bring this document to evaluations/pants pickup in March (more information below). 

 FALL Volunteering

If you are interested in becoming a coach or manager for the upcoming Spring season, we'd love to have you join our organization!  However, there are a few administrative items that must be completed prior to being named a coach or manager:

  • During registration of your child, please indicate that you'd like to coach or manage within the volunteer section of the registration process.  If you forgot to select that option during registration, please send an email to fairfieldamerican@gmail.com and let us know your name, your child's name and your preference (coaching or managing).
     
  • Please submit a Volunteer Application Form via email to safetyfall@gmail.com.  There's a link to this document in the volunteer section of the registration process and also on our "Forms" page under the "About" tab on our website here.  Please note that all potential volunteers must complete this form and provide their social security number (Little League requirement) within this document.
  • Please send an email with your "baseball resume" (background and coaching experience) to the appropriate Fairfield American Little League commissioner or contact for your child's age group.  The list of contacts can be found here.

That's it!  It takes a few weeks to process all of this information, so please be patient and you'll be contacted by your league commissioner towards the beginning of March.


 March Evaluations - Pants Pickup
Evaluations for players aged 9-12 will take place during the weekends of March 5th-6th and March 12th-13th at Fairfield Woods Middle School.  Below please find the schedule per age group:
  • 9-10 year olds will be evaluated from 9 am - 12 pm on March 5th, March 6th and March 12th.  Each player only needs to attend one of these sessions and all players will be evaluated on a first come, first served basis.
  • 11-12 year olds will be evaluated from 1 pm - 4 pm on March 5th, March 6th and March 12th.  Each player only needs to attend one of these sessions and all players will be evaluated on a first come, first served basis.
  • The morning of Sunday, March 13th from 9 am - 11:30 am will be the final evaluation opportunity for ALL players aged 9-12 years old
  • Returning Majors players (from the Spring 2010 season) do not have to attend evaluations
  • Players aged 5-8 years old do not have to attend evaluations
  • Regardless of whether or not a player is required to attend evaluations, all players should try to swing by Fairfield Woods during an evaluation session to pick up their pants for the Spring season
  • As mentioned in the "Registration" section above, if your child is a new player to Fairfield American Little League, we'll need to receive a copy of his/her birth certificate for our files.  This document can be submitted at evaluations/pants pickup.
