In spite of this, Henry and Keiko begin a friendship until Keiko is taken to an internment camp with her family. Set during one of the most conflicted and volatile times in American history, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet is an extraordinary story of commitment and enduring hope. Did You Know?

We all experience forgetfulness in our daily lives. Where did I leave my keys? What is his name? These types of memory lapse are normal! An  article from Harvard Health Publications lists seven normal memory problems: Transience is the tendency to forget things over time. Absentmindedness refers to forgetting things due to lack of focus. Blocking may be experienced as the inability to retrieve a name or fact that is on "the tip-of-your-tongue." Misattribution occurs when we forget some of the details of an event from our memory. As we experience suggestibility, we may believe that something is a real memory through the power of suggestion. Our personal bias may shape our memories. We may also experience the persistence of memories related to negative or traumatic events. We all may experience some of these forms of forgetfulness in our daily lives.  However, if memory loss begins to disrupt your daily life and relationships, it is best to consult with your physician. According to an article from Helpguide, exercising the body and brain, engaging in social connections, eating a healthy diet, managing stress, getting adequate sleep, and avoiding smoking will contribute to cognitive wellness.
