A note from Patti Ries, Mill City Commons
Program Coordinator
Did You Know?
May has been designated as "Older Americans Month" by the Administration on Aging.
This year's theme, "Never Too Old to Play", highlights "the important role older adults play in sharing their experience, wisdom, and understanding, and passing on that knowledge to other generations in a variety of significant ways. Studies show [that] interactions with family, friends, and neighbors across generations enrich the lives of all involved."
The Administration on Aging correlates lifelong participation in social, creative, and physical activities with physical and cognitive health benefits.
