Turn your radio dial to KFAI 90.3 FM at 7:40 am on Monday, July 25 to hear MCC members Allan Burdick, Judy Healey, Penny Hunt and Marcia Townley talk with Susan Gray about the village movement and Mill City Commons. Susan visited with members at the MCC Last Tuesday Happy Hour in June at Psycho Suzi's.
Save the date for a Lynx basketball game on Sunday, August 14. MCC member Peggy Lucas has secured a group ticket rate for us -- $15 per ticket. Nosy Neighor Tour: City Hall & Courthouse

Lunch at Restaurant Max, 1:15 pm; 215 South 4th Street
Enjoy a lunchtime public tour of one of the Twin Cities' greatest landmarks. Visit the five-story rotunda with its stained glass windows and grotesques, the Father of Waters statue, the Council Chambers, and see million-year-old fossils. Meet at the Father of Waters Atrium. Co-sponsored by Preserve Minneapolis and the Municipal Building Commission. Join members for lunch after the tour at Restaurant Max, 215 South 4th Street.

Social Bridge

Join advanced or intermediate bridge players for a round of social bridge. You are expected to come with a partner at your level. (Advanced players play all the major conventions comfortably.) Aquatennial Fireworks
Saturday, July 23, 9:30 - 10:30 pm; Marcia Townley's Loft, Stone Arch Lofts, 600 S. 2nd Street, #105
Marcia Townley invites you to her home for one of the largest annual fireworks shows in the country! The Target Fireworks will light up the Minneapolis sky with a spectacular display at 10:00 pm in celebration of the 72nd Aquatennial.
Pre-fireworks activities will begin at 6:00 pm along West River Parkway, between Portland Avenue and the 3rd Avenue Bridge.

National Night Out

Join your neighbors on both side of the river for a block party. National Night Out is an annual nationwide event that encourages residents to get out in the community and get to know their neighbors. MCC members are helping organize and will be represented at both events!

Journey to Egypt
