MCC New Member Spotlight

Lynn Bowe and Charlie Kuivinen

MCC welcomed new members Charlie Kuivinen and Lynn Bowe in December.

Lynn tells us that mutual friends introduced them because both were widowed and had a lot in common.  Subsequently, they danced the tango all over Buenos Aires, visited friends and relatives around the world and the U.S, and learned they were both gym rats.  In addition they both love live theater and music and Mel Brooks.  Friendship turned to love and they married in 2005.

Charlie chaired the business department and still teaches economics at Northwestern College, and Lynn volunteers at the University of Minnesota, Minnesota Opera and the League of Catholic Women.

Lynn and Charlie joined MCC because they believe in the power of community, they admire the leadership of the friends who invited them to join, and they enjoy the activities available to members.  MCC adds richness to their lives.
