The Brazil Canada Chamber of Commerce participated in the PDAC (Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada) Conference, which was held from the 6th to the 9th of March in Toronto with record attendance of over 25,000 participants. The BCCC organized two events within the PDAC.

The first event was on March 7th, a Brazil-Canada Mining Breakfast, attracting more than 100 attendees. Important speakers presented several aspects of the Mining Industry in Brazil and Canada and also talked about important projects being executed. The new Brazilian Ambassador to Canada, having just arrived in the country, made the opening remarks and he was followed by the Secretary of Mines of the Brazilian Federal Government. Other remarks were given by the DFAIT representative and senior executives from MBAC, Rio Novo Gold and ValeInco.

Prior to this event, the BCCC was invited by the Toronto Stock Exchange for the opening of the Market which was Called "Brazil Day". The Brazilian Ambassador led the ringing of the bell for the day's session opening.

The second event, the 5th Annual BRAZIL-CANADA at PDAC promoted by the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce, was held on March 8th at the Metro Toronto Convention Center for individual companies and organizations to make Project presentations and to provide networking opportunities. Opening remarks were given by the Deputy Consul General of Brazil in Toronto, followed by the Director of the Brazilian National Department of Mineral Production. Executives from Macquarie, Rhios, Rio Novo Gold, Rio Verde Minerals, Aura Minerals, Talon Metals and Kinross gave the audience a broad overview of their projects. In addition, DFAIT made a presentation addressing the various aspects of the trade between the two countries together with CCBC, our sister Chamber in Brazil. HSBC Bank Canada, KPMG, Pinheiro & Mourão & Raso & Araujo Filho Advogados, and the TSX/TSX Venture, addressed financial, legal and consulting aspects of the Mining Business. The event provided a broad perspective of the majority of challenges faced by the mining entrepreneurs doing business in Brazil.

Events were co-organized with the Chamber with the assistance of DFAIT, ACMINAS, HEENAN BLAIKIE, TSX & TSX VENTURE, the CAMARA DE COMERCIO BRASIL-CANADÁ in São Paulo, the BRAZILIAN CONSULATE GENERAL IN TORONTO, J.MENDO CONSULTORIA, PINHEIRO & MOURÃO & RASO & ARAUJO FILHO ADVOGADOS and FFA.

Other Sponsors which also made possible the successful execution of the events include TALON METALS, VALE, AURA MINERALS, RIO NOVO GOLD, RIO VERDE MINERALS, MACQUAIRE, KINROSS, the EDC, RHIOS, MBAC, FELSBERG & ASSOCIADOS, HEENAN BLAIKIE, TSX & TSX VENTURE, DFAIT and PINHEIRO & MOURÃO & RASO & ARAUJO FILHO ADVOGADOS.

We thank all sponsors and co-organizers for their continued support to our initiatives and the audience that attended the events. The PDAC events continue to be the BCCC's most significant events of the year, by importance of the presenters and participants and by the significance with which the mining industry represents for both Brazil and Canada.

      Sincerely

      Raul Papaleo - President
