Greetings!
March Madness? At EPG, March means one thing - Service School. The classroom is made ready, presenters prepare their material, and the shop gets a good cleaning. Admittedly, some of us are keeping an eye on our big tourney brackets, or following the state high school hockey and basketball tournaments. It is March after all.
A big thanks to everyone who attended the 2012 EPG Service School. This years group was very diverse, including landfill gas technicians, 3rd party service providers, operators, managers and sales reps from 12 states. Read More

Education - 2012 Service School Update
A big thanks to everyone who attended the 2012 EPG Service School. This years group was very diverse including landfill gas technicians, 3rd party service providers, operators, managers and sales reps from 12 states. These SWANA accredited classes provided an opportunity to develop peoples troubleshooting skills, increase their knowledge and build their confidence to help them succeed. Not only was it was a great opportunity to learn more about the pumps, controls, and installations, the knowledge and skills can be applied when dealing with other systems found in landfills. Here's what one of the attendees had to say about his experience: "I still can't get over what EPG had in store for us at the service school! It was definitely worth the time and money. Since returning to work I was able to uncover a hidden problem at one of the landfills I service, revealing other potential situations with leachate levels." -Mike Brenner South Bend, IN
Throughout the week attendees participated in classroom discussion, presentations, and hands-on training. We also enjoyed great food and socializing with everyone who participated.
 | Hands-On Training is always a hit! |
Throughout the week attendees learned:
- Troubleshooting of control panels and components
- Dis-assembly and assembly of EPG SurePumps™
- Set-up and programming of level and flow meters
- Pump and controls health
- Electrical testing
- Anatomy of submersible motors
- Stories of real situations from staff with over 100 years combined experience in the field
